Best campground around! Family owned, everyone knows each other and it's so friendly. It's quiet, clean, scenic, pets allowed, great area w/ shopping and restaurants nearby, and you can't beat the rates. Wonderful!!

My family begged me to take them camping in the cold.. They watch this extreme camping show and just wanted to try it. I was not cold camping in a tent so we settled for a pop up camper. I know it was not luxury like the RV's at the site but i never thought it would be a issue. As soon as we went to reserve a site, the man in the office was so nice, but the old woman made it very odvious she didnt want us there. Long story short, they let us rent the site for 3 days, when we went back to rent it for 2 more days, she told us the site had been reserved. Mind you, we were the only ones there that werent seasonal residents.. And went back the next day just to see and sure enough.. Nobody was renting none of the sites. It wasnt surprising though, we already had the feeling from the start that she didnt want us there.. For one of two reasons.. Or both, my camper didnt meet their approval or because my husband is black. Didnt let that stop is though, we found a nice camp site to spend 3 more days at and had a great time. If your white and rich, this is a great spot for you.. But anyone else.. Beware.. Its a bitter judgemental old bat that manages the place, which makes this campsite a thumbs down. But hey, everything happens for a reason, had she of let us stay, we would of never found the other campsite. We were just a normal hard working family who wanted our kids to experience something different.. Instead they expirenced hatred at its finest. That old woman should take somme of that bitterness and fix the run down campsite up..

The staff are rude. No motorcycles - even quite ones.

It's a lovely place. The staff at the front desk are wonderful, but...the older men (2) who come around in the evening are rude and downright unhelpful. I don't think they want to be there. We told him there was no toilet paper in the porta potty and he said they were not responsible for the toilet paper. Huh? Been going here for about 8 years, we all feel we will now need to find a new place to go to. :( But it is a peaceful clean place. I guess not a problem if you are not in a tent and not going to have to use the porta potty.
