Yes they are friendly. At the prices they now charge they should be. Zman making camping to expensive to enjoy anymore. $245 a week. $900-1200 a month depending on site. No joke. Well except the seasonal lots. But they never seem to have any available. They want to drive all locals away.

Now Northwoods RV Resort, own and operated by Zeman RV Resorts. This campground is now under new owenership and management since January 2017. The new name is Northwoods RV Resort and the Paradise name is something in the past. If you haven't been there recently you should. Totally new look with many organized activities for all ages. No longer the family owned Paradise RV Resort once occupied this location for many years. So many improvements been made in with many more additional changes coming. The old barn torn down and replaced with 12 brand new park models unit to rent for weekends or longer. The beach swimming area has new sand and new rope off swimming area. A new 30'x50' in ground swinning pool with jacuzzi and new bath house hopefully completed by June 2018. They also have added 4 paddle boats and built a small pier to accommodate them. These paddle boats are free to use just check with office where life jackets will be issued. The large building next to beach has a new game room, also includes a new refreshment snack bar selling pizza and real ice cream, etc. Many fun activities for children and adults have been added. One of their popular one's is the "Wet n' Wild Hay Ride", a big hit with the kids and adults who love getting soaked, but NO FUN on those chilly days. Seasonal sites take their garden hoses aiming at the Wet n' Wild Hay riders as it passes and the kids/adults also shooting back with on board water pump guns. Also some weekends they have a live band performing and DJ dances. This place is becoming a fun place for camping families and groups. There's also good catch and release fishing in the non-swimming ponds and keep fishing out of the Kishwaukee River that runs through the resort. Kids always have fun trying to catch the many frogs found throughout the ponds and river. For the 2018 camping season they announced more major improvements starting with a new entrance at Garden Prairie Road and Jackson Street next to the school. The old original entrance will be permantly close due to a rail road safety issue effective late spring 2018. The new entrance will have a new office/general store building selling the basics needs. Other 2018 additions will be a 30'x50' in ground swimming pool with jacuzzi and new bath house located across from the new office. Also, a new remodeled club house in the original old office /restaurant build and free Wifi and Dish TV for all campers to be completed around June 1st, 2018. There are new camping rates for the 2018 season. The new management Kevin and Crystal along with their support team wearing staff shirts are friendly and seem to be doing their best to assure an enjoyable stay for all. This review updated 03/26/18.

This place is terrible, don't waste your time. "Rules" are only enforced if they're the ones that aren't dangerous. Loose dogs, people swimming in the fishing area, and if you report a problem, they don't fix it. They just tell the person you reported that you reported them, creating strife for the rest of your stay. No one ever answers the phone and if you leave a voicemail they never call you back. The older lady at the front desk is always rude and doesn't attempt to be helpful in any situation. The owner is nice and one of the maintenance guys is helpful, but that's about it. The park floods all the time so that you have to move your rv and are left without water or electricity and the park doesn't try to help and here are no refunds. It looks pretty crappy, there's barely any grass. Just mud. Not a fun place unless you really want to be miserable. Would not recommend.

Great, friendly place to camp. They need shower houses though. There weren't any public toilets.

You can leave a message but no one will call you back. This is a very quiet campground on weekdays but on weekends it's a different story with most campers being permanent and weekend partyers. The garbage cans are always overflowing. There are no rules for the permanent residents so it's all golf carts and campfires with as many guest they can get on their lots. If your looking for a nice quiet park then don't park here on weekends. They have big potholes. They are lake sized and deadly. I have seen two fifth wheels with battle scars from trying to get past their congested entry. This is where campers go to die. This could be a great campground with a little TLC from the owners.
