What an interesting local museum. The audio visuals show about the Bears Paw Battle “I will fight no more, forever” - Chief Joseph was compelling. The photos and old local items are interesting. I left feeing a sense of local history, all the way back to the dinosaurs. And, Sam, the young woman running the desk, was a wealth of local information. They also keep a fine bookstore, for those interested in Western history. Certainly worth a 45 minute stop.
Absolutely amazing! The taxidermy is very well done, the attention to detail for the exhibits is very well thought out and you keep finding hidden treasures hidden even after you thought you had seen everything. For the price this is a must-see if you are in the area!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$1–5
This museum is wonderful! I could not believe how many pictures and artifactts they had that told the story of this area. The documentary we watched was beautifully done and the people there were so friendly and knowledgeable... I highly recommend you take the time when you are in the area. A real treasure!

Well worth the stop as the collections are descriptive, well labelled and thorough.
Very extensive museum with knowledgeable personnel. Informative movie on Bear Paw Battle between the Nez Perce and US Cavalry in 1877. Thanks, keep up the good work.
Interesting and informative. The displays are really cool but the video projection room that projects the photos and tells a story is amazing. The building needs some updates inside though. That staircase is terrifying.
We loved it here!! I will definitely be back and recommend you visit. It's free admission, young and old will enjoy it!!
Free museum that that is so educational with informational and lifelike displays. Helpful and patient docent. Covered all aspects of Blaine County history even mentioning the geology.
One of limited options as far as things to see/do here.
