Absolutely the worst BLM Office ever been to!! They know Absolutely nothing about Mining Claims. Which is an integral part of what BLM is and why it exists!!! I asked for was the Basic Blank Forms for filling a mining claim that are available at every BLM Office but this one, although the lady's at front counter with Grey hair pulled back Tracy, was trying super hard to be nice, fake nice, because i was bothering her from doing nothing, this is the most un busy BLM ever been to too, mind you....would call the other lady working there, Jeanette for every thing she didn't know answer to, which was every singal question I asked her, she would pass me off, Jeannette she was extremely nice, and tried as much as possible to help me, I truly felt she was being sincere, but could not help me at all Because the Battle Mountain BLM Office knows - nothing Nothing NOTHING About mining claims. Why does this Office even exist, total waste of tax payers $$$$ we spent 2 days here in Battle Mountain, going back and forth getting the run around, they told us the basic forms we asked for were not available at the BLM, and that's only true for this one. They looked at me like I landed here from Mars, and iam a green Alien. All I asked was for basic blank forms for filling clames, they told me to go to *Court House *Assessors Office *Recorders Office *County Library *BLM Website Every other BLM has stacks of these forms, and they are free to the public, Just go to Reno dont waste your time going here, its a huge beatiful building in the middle no where, for no reason, Seriously what a joke.

I highly recommend the Battle Mountain BLM with any public land inquiries. Their front desk personnel are patient and helpful too. I’ve personally never had a bad experience in this place. Thank you for making this a great stop!
The bald guy at the front counter was possibly one of the rudest, most unhelpful individuals I've ever had the misfortune of meeting. We stopped in for local information and to ask a few simple questions. He acted like we were bothering him and would close his eyes like he couldn't believe we were wasting his time. All he could do is tell us to call the main office. What is this branch for? What do they do here? Apparently not much...
