Love the decor and vibe here. Very laid back but still classy. Good drink prices compared to downtown. Bartenders here sometimes experiment a bit but will allow you to trade in a drink if you don't care for it. Good French fries. Nice place for dinner outside on small courtyard in summer.

We’ve lived in the area for a few years and have gone to Blue Comet mainly due to the convenience of living within walking distance. The atmosphere is unique and the outside seating is nice. The food is ok, nothing special. The service is a bit lacking at times. They can be slow and rude if you have high customer service standards. We’ve brought friends and family here due to the atmosphere, and have never written a review mainly due to that. Today, we went to celebrate a birthday and attempted to order food 3x. I spoke with three different staff members that relayed the message to the bartender Kelly that loudly advised “I know!” and continued to do his duties at the bar without even looking at us or saying “I will be right with you”. The place was not busy at all! Another server came over to grab our dinner order and at that point I decided to leave and to dine somewhere where we will Be well taken care of. As a previous server, customer rep and now a staff member at a law firm, I expect to be provided the same customer service that I provide to my clients. The standards for blue comet weren’t even that high since we continued going back for five years. But today, convenience does not outweigh the experience. When I pay for service I expect to get excellent service.

Food was delicious! We had French onion soup, mussels and a chicken cheese steak. Everything was top notch. I'll be coming back here, just because the food was so good. Drinks and service were also great. Nice to find an establishment that does it right.

Great bar in center of Glenside. Upscale pub food, engaging bartenders and cool patio out back during warmer months. Great place to hang with friends and catch up on life.

Amazing spot!   Classic, vintage, classy, and wholy original.   Amazing meatloaf and fish n chips.  Super friendly staff.
