We stopped in Blue Cow Cafe for lunch and loved it! The atmosphere is comfortable and the food is incredible. There is a distinct French flair which we love. The decor is beautiful and very inviting. The prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food served and the menu selection is nicely varied.

My review of the Blue Cow in Big Rapids, Michigan. 

Pros: The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing. The staff was kind and helpful. The restaurant was clean.

Cons: The steak was charred way too much (no mention on the menu of charring). The cut of meat for the ribeye was full of connective tissue that wouldn't cut. The asparagus had white stems and was very thin. 

Overall, the place is nice to eat at. However, the food was overpriced and poor in quality. I would give three stars but the entire point of eating out is to enjoy the food. I would not recommend this place to my family and friends.

One of my favorite restaurants in the area!  Excellent fresh menu choices with amazing wine selection and the service is always fast and courteous.  The Black and Blue Tenderloin is my go to dish and is absolutely delicious!! I highly recommend it to all steak lovers.  No prepackaged frozen food here...if you're looking for upscale dining with excellent fresh food choices then you can't go wrong with Blue Cow.

I can always count on excellent food here. I have to eat healthy and this is easy here. The summer afternoons outdoors on the patio feel like I'm in a charming larger City. A welcome Oasis in a rural area!

Best fine dining in Big Rapids because it's the ONLY fine dining in Big Rapids. The curry is great and never skip the cheesecake. The "craft" beer is not consistent, but it's mostly fine.
