The atmosphere at the Blue Window is perfect for a group. The staff is wonderful and keeps you pleased. I have enjoyed each dish I have had. My only recommendation would be more water at the table, but maybe we are just fish.

Update: We have dined here a couple times now in the new location next door to Starbucks. It has been very good. That packed in feeling from the old location is gone. I had the Salmon Salad and that was great! Everyone in our group has really enjoyed their meals. Service here has been really good too. ------------ Blue window is considered the top restaurant in Los Alamos. My wife loves their food. I personally find the space a little cluster-phobic, but I have always had good meals there. (They are moving west to next door to Starbucks in a few days.) They have a nice outdoor patio seating area that is nice in good weather. The food is always good. The service is normally very good. They have wood tables and chairs that are kinda old-timie but do the job. They have a wide range of choices from steaks / fish and Mexican dishes. My wife like a chicken sandwich that they serve. If your taking folks from out of town to dinner, this is a good choice.

Pretty good food. Would come back again. Only disappointment was the tiny portion of asparagus for $4. Cole slaw needs a little something, missing that kick. Overall I love it. Had the fish and chips and was not disappointed. Great service. Friendly staff.

The new Blue Window location is much more airy feeling, but still with great service. I usually get the New Mexican dip sandwich and can recommend that. I also like that they serve hand-cut fresh fries. Why can't more restaurants offer these, instead of the disgusting frozen items that come off the back of a Sysco truck?
