An old stand-by for tacos. My husband had just run an ultra marathon and needed carbs and protein. There were several of us in our large party mid-afternoon and they didn't seem phased. Food was good. Good menu options.

Absolute favorite place to eat here, I will miss it greatly when I leave! Recommend: chicken tacos, tostada, pasole, and horchata.

If i could give 0 stars i would.. they advertise their hours to be from 7am til 7 p.m. i show up at 636, standing at the register for 4 minutes while the employees are talking amongst themselves, when he did come to the register he told me they closed early due to them being short handed, i was annoyed say anything and left, as i left he muttered in spanish to his coworkers, that laughed. Unaware that i myself am fluent in Spanish he called me a racist name, i asked to speak to the manager, i was told she wasnt there. Even if i did complain, nothing would be done. I remained in the parking lot to write this review saw an attractive female walk in, 6 minutes later she walked out with a bag.. i asked if they were closed, she said no, they were very helpful and pleasant..

Food is usually good (assuming they get your order correct, which in my experience is only half the time) but the customer service is flat out terrible. All the other El Parasol locations have been great, but this location is not worth visiting.

This has to be the worst el parasol location. May be a tie with Pojoaque. I don't understand how the original is so good, and even the santa fe locations taste good, but then you come up to Los Alamos and its awful. Same menu same prices but tastes like the people cooking don't care if your food tastes like garbage. The calabicitas tamale looked boiled, not steamed(picture a pile of soggy masa that can't even retain its shape, with little pieces of squash and corn sticking out). Tasted like some kind of vegetable oil. I wish the owners of this chain could find a way to keep consistency in the flavor and quality of their food across all their locations. Unfortunately, it seems that 5 restaurants may be too many for them to do so. I guess 3 out of 5 isn't too bad? Do yourself a favor and steer clear of el parasol in los alamos. Chili Works is many times better and it is just around the corner.
