A year ago today my friends son passed away. I have put off this review because there are not enough words or emotions to describe what Dee McIntosh and the people at Bluebonnet Hills did for them. Dee went above and beyond from the first day that I met him. I let him know the situation and he was more than happy to drive 3 women around in 100° weather, trying to narrow down a place to lay our friends son to rest. The next day when we brought our friend out to make final decisions, Dee was so thoughtful and kind, everyone there was.  They showed such professionalism and compassion, making sure that both parents were comfortable with everything down to the music and photos to be played at the viewing and funeral.  Dee even came out to the house when he realized that there was a document that wasn't signed.  The viewing was perfect, they made it feel very comfortable for all the young children that came to say their goodbyes. We had little sandwiches, cookies, drinks, etc. The funeral was perfect.  Dee and his team made sure that all the family had to do was spend what little time they had left to say goodbye to their son. I will never forget the 4-days that I spent with Dee and the people at Bluebonnet Hills. Not just because of the tragedy, but how they helped a family get through it with dignity and grace.  Dee really does care about the people he helps and it shows. I know that I will have my grandparents laid to rest here and it's because of Dee McIntosh.

I'm posting this from two perspectives. And, since I've never been a CLIENT of theirs, I'm only giving them four stars. Due to my business, I've had the opportunity to do some work at Bluebonnet Hills. I've actually done work at several area funeral homes, and one thing that stand out at this facility is their care and respect for everyone that walks through their doors. I've heard many conversations in the back, and have always been impressed by their sensitivity to the situations their clients are walking through. I've not personally used their services, mind you (and I hope I won't need to for quite some time!) - but they are definitely on the top of my list. I've had the pleasure of interfacing with much of their staff, and they are great people. Last month (May 2017), I had the opportunity to attend the Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park Memorial Day service. My father is 92 years old and a Navy Veteran, and I'll say this was a wonderful service to thank the many men and women who have given the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our great country. The service was very dignified and respectful - something I've come to expect from Bluebonnet, without any disappointment. There were Boy Scouts passing out bottled water in the Texas heat - they thought of everything. This is definitely a "must-do" for me and my family from now on.

I applied for a counseling position here and interviewed with Mr. Ryan Welsh - Family Service Manager. Mr. Welsh was very professional and informative. He even provided an employee's contact for me to speak with to get some insider's tip of the industry. Although I did not jump on board today due to personal reasons, I had a positive experience with Mr. Welsh, Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home and Memorial Park, and Dignity Memorial as a whole. I highly recommend this company based on my personal experience.

When we met with them in Dec 2016 for my dad's funeral, they were great. Collected payment and set everything in motion. We had a graveside service only. They did pretty good. We purchased dad's stone in June about the second week. We were trying to match my mother's stone. It's been 42 yrs since mom passed so we knew the stone would not be exact. Color would be different & we were fine with that. In 2 wks we should have proof of dad's stone to approve. 2 wks turned into 3, then when I called...no return calls. In mid July we were told monument company wanted etching of moms stone to match. Ok they were getting ground crew to get it. Weeks went by....nothing...proof or calls. I called 8/18 and was told monument co wants etching & picture of moms stone. I was ready to go do it myself but was assured it would get done right away. Called again 8/21 and was told all had been sent and received. They would ask monument company to expedite my dad's stone. So today, 10/6, I am told mid to late NOVEMBER dad's stone should be in. 5 MONTHS!!!! I am not holding my breath. I pray that the people at bluebonnet NEVER have to go through what they have put my family through. It is not a family friendly place. They can keep their condolences and just get things taken care of. I have both parents & my brother in laws parents & brother there. If I have anything to say about it...no one else in my family will deal with this cemetery!!!!!!
