Warning: This is an ER facility with ER pricing. If your pet is on deaths doorstep, they have the right people and equipment, but at 2x -5x the cost of your local vet. I took my pet in for an ultrasound (my vet could not do that test) and they recommended several more tests. My advice is to call your vet right there and get their pricing; you will be amazed at the cost savings. You will also find prices for medication sold extremely inflated. My 2 week supply purchased from Blue Pearl cost me $130.10. I later purchased the exact medication locally (not via internet) for $37.50. I call Mary Lacy (person in charge of pricing) several times but she never returned my calls. My two visits to Blue Pearl cost me well over $1K each visit. Good doctors but very very pricey.

I highly recommend BluePearl when your pet needs critical care. I've been there twice with my cocker spaniel. They are compassionate, efficient, professional, and were able to provide highly successful treatment in both cases. Thanks especially to Dr. Lisa Powell, vet tech Maggie, and all the staff who helped treat Sunny during her stay.

I took my dog for some additional testing and an ultrasound beyond what my normal vet could provide. Their staff were incredibly caring, took the time to make sure I understood all of my options, and were very up front/forthcoming about pricing. The services I received were not cheap, but that is to be expected with the higher level of services they provide.

We were referred by our family vet for our dogs constant siezures after being to our vet for a different illness. Coco, our pure bred Kookabear made it and is going home. We are very thankful for the care given to her.

(PLEASE READ PART 1 AND 2 TO GET A FULL VIEW OF BLUE PEARL) (This is PART 1) (Part 2 posted by my fiancé) I wanted to write an accurate review, considering I have been to this Emergency Clinic multiple times. First off, some people are complaining about the price of Blue Pearl. And yes, it is expensive but it is an emergency veterinarian and you will pay the same price for bringing your pet to the University of Minnesota emergency veterinarian clinic. So, the price is nothing to complain about in my opinion. It totally sucks, but it is what it is. Second the staff is spotty. The veterinarians you’ll get are for the most part skilled but I have definitely gotten the “bad dog mom” vibes from a few of them. Dr. Horton stitched up my 14-year-old shih tzu after a nail trim gone wrong. She was originally standoffish about staying to do my baby’s surgery because her shift was almost over. She ended up staying to complete the surgery and did a wonderful job. Dr. Moore was super sweet to me and my 5-year-old Chinese Crested when she got an eye ulcer (from getting a dog nail in the eye when playing). I would bring my fur babies back to Dr. Moore any day! Dr. Moore is so compassionate that when I was crying, because I was so upset for my fur baby being in pain, that she teared up. I’ve never seen so much compassion in a vet before (except my primary vet and doggie ophthalmologist). I feel like veterinary technicians never get enough recognition. CVT Carrie is an angel and I wish she could be my vet tech forever. On New Year’s Day, my Chinese Crested had an occurrence of uveitis and her ophthalmologist was closed so I brought her here. I was brought in by Carrie to check her weight and Carrie was so concerned about my Chinese Crested’s eye (don’t look up pics of dog uveitis because it is pretty disgusting) that she asked if she could bring her in the back for the doctor to see right away. Of course, I agreed and Carrie came back with Addie and moved us to a new room to be seen right away. I ended seeing Carrie at the end to go over meds and she was so sweet and caring. I had such a great experience with her!
