Story

Blum Center For Health is the first Functional Medicine and Lifestyle Education Center in Westchester County to provide extensive services to treat the whole person, rather than the disease itself.

In addition to treating patients with chronic medical conditions, Blum Center for Health teaches patients the ‘how to’ part of wellness through Healthy Cooking Classes, Mind/Body/Spirit Programs, a Functional Nutrition Program which includes a Healthy Weight Program. Horrible experience with the nutritionist. All she did was put me on their static Weight Loss diet program and made me buy some stupid test kits. I didn't even go there for weight loss. I weigh 118! Never even followed up with me! The worst! Don't waste your time. Plenty of eligible Drs and consultants available. She's horrible !!!

I saw the nutritionist and she was helpful and informative. Unfortunately, the business is poorly run. You can never get through to anyone on the phone to get help with questions or problems. They have a horrible refund policy. Simply put, one feels like they are out to make the most money from you instead of helping you. I'm extremely disappointed.

The Immune System Recovery Plan book written by Dr. Blum has helped me and a couple of my friends immensely. The book suggests supplements for the gut and protein shakes and I pieced those parts together myself, using some common sense. Bottom line for me is I've eliminated all the biggies that she discusses- sugar, soy, wheat, nuts, nightshades, dairy, coffee, nuts, factory farmed animal and fish protein and in less than a week my joint pains in my fingers, knees, elbows and toes pretty much disappeared. I'm going for a 30 day cleanse. I am on day 11 and feel more clear and energetic (not wired, just alive!) than I have since...forever. Confession, have cheated with some good red wine, but I definitely recommend the book and for people to stop eating so much junk. She recommend this

Dr. Pam Yee is one of the most knowledgeable, thorough and attentive physicians I have ever been treated by. I am a mixed martial arts instructor so my business (and my passion) depends on being healthy. After getting food poisoning from organic spinach I developed serious intestinal pains, constant nausea and terrible IBS type symptoms. The symptoms persisted from some time and grew in severity. Other physicians were not able to help. Dr. Yee put me on a regimen that instantly helped, and after two weeks the symptoms had almost completely subsided. I can not recommend her enough.

The practitioners at Blum Center have helped me overcome auto-mimmune diseases like PMR and colitis, when no medical doctor could offer me anything but infusions, steroids and pain relievers. They are brilliantly insightful and compassionate medical and nutrition professionals. However, anyone who invests in the Blum approach must be 100% committed to getting well-- whether that means changing your diet, changing your lifestyle or investing in valuable supplements. I have more energy, more joy and less physical problems than every before in my life. I highly recommend the Blum Center.
