Incredibly unprofessional experience with this contractor through co-owned sister company Rincon Roofing. I was closing on a house and needed to replace the roof for financing (203k). After my agent disclosed the nature of the work and the financing situation to them I received a bid (the highest cost of three bids) that appeared to be professional. However, when I decided to execute the bid and provided follow up materials, I had to pester them repeatedly to get any response. After getting the run around for 2 weeks they finally started getting their paperwork together and assured me they were on board. At the last minute, after they provided a revised (higher) bid and warranty information etc. I was told they did not want the work as they couldn't handle the 3-4 pages of 203k paperwork and wait a week after completion of the job for payment. This put me in an incredible bind since I was closing on the house and had selected them for the work. I am in serious jeopardy of losing the house because they didn't do what they said they would do and a foreclosure is pending on the seller--which we made very clear to them throughout.

I called the business owner immediately and tried to convince him to raise the bid or otherwise see if there were any conditions they would accept to simply take an hour and fill out the paperwork in order to move forward including putting the cash up myself to sort it out. The owner mentioned he regularly has $250k and $500k jobs and any paperwork or complications for an overpriced $7k-$8k job without immediate payment onsite when the job concludes isn't worth his time. One of the worst customer service experiences of my life, directly from the owner.

If you are a residential customer, avoid this contractor at all costs. It's not just that the owner and staff don't want your work and their incompetence will make your life hell, it's that they either don't see you as a human being or actually derive pleasure from tormenting you. Your job is not worth their time.
