I had my first experience with Bob & Son's yesterday and it was absolutely excellent. I was in a desperate mood when I showed up and had no appointment. My car was overheating and temporary fixes with coolant replacement were no longer helping. When I drove to Bob & Son's, I had fumes coming from my hood. Initially, due to their packed schedule, they directed me next door to see if a nearby mechanic had an opening but when they realized I was helpless, the staff approached me with concern. 

They fit me in their schedule and worked on my car in such a timely manner.  I had thorough access to the diagnostics online and I was updated on progress on my car through text messages. The staff was extremely professional. They even offered to give me a ride after I dropped off my car and again a ride, in a stormy weather, to pick up my car after it was all fixed. In less than 24hrs, my car was fixed. Given that I had no appointment and the bad weather, I'm extremely impressed by their willingness to help me as a desperate customer. I honestly don't know what I would have done without them.  My car is driving smoothly now. My water pump needed to be replaced and the engine belt was replaced as well and engine oil topped. I would highly recommend their service.

I called up this repair shop today to get a quote on replacing my power steering pump in my van. The power steering pump is bad and is making loud clunking and worrying noises. It has been diagnosed by a ASC Certified mechanic as about to break. I am calling around to various shops to get an estimate on replacement. 

This shop would not give me an accurate estimate instead they wanted to charge me $118 to diagnose the steering pump! Well I understand the need to properly diagnose vehicles. Charging that amount is highway robbery when all the vehicle needs is a new power steering pump! 

I am sure this repair shop does fantastic work however the fee for diagnosis is very high and out of line with industry standards. I expect this kind of maintenance fee from a car dealership not a private automotive shop.

Let’s face it nobody likes big car/truck repair bills. This was my first visit at Bob and Sons. Bob and Sons came highly recommended, so I took the chance. Yes, my bill was high, but that was not Bobs fault. My vehicle was 16 years old and my previous mechanic just didn’t want to work on it. Bob and Sons gave me a complete bumper to bumper review of the current state of my vehicle ( a Chevy 2500 HD).
I came to Bob’s with my own list of issues. Robert explained in advance everything that would be done and approximately what it would cost and how long. I decided which repairs to do and which not. Bob and Sons even provided me with a loaner vehicle.
Could I have gotten a better price, maybe. But the service and confidence in their workmanship, means it was money well spent. You get what you pay for! I will return.

I brought my 13 year old car to them and they went through it and told me all the things that needed to be worked on. They let me pick the most important to me.  The came under budget and completed the work sooner than I expected.  Made me very happy.

My clutch went out and it was definitely a hard time, they were honest about how long it would be and what the cost was going to be and letting me know the possible total if something else was wrong once they got in there. They did everything they could to work with me as a first time customer and the expense. They also did everything they could to repair a part instead of having to replace it and have it be more expensive!!
