The City of Bonham is located approximately 70 miles northeast of Dallas, and is the County Seat of Fannin County. We are the home of former US Congressman Sam Rayburn, Speaker of the House; the Sam Rayburn Library and Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans Center, as well as many other points of interest. Our current population is 10,127 (2010 Census).

The Department's purpose for existing is to provide a desirable environment for the citizens of Bonham to live, work, and play. By partnering with our community, the Bonham Police Department hopes to ensure that our citizens can enjoy a safe and secure environment, free from harm, and that we are able to maintain a quality of standard of living for our community.
