I am very sad to hear about Fluffy's passing.  I was a long time customer and even helped her run her new credit card machine.   She will be greatly missed.  I hope her family continues her passion and dream of running the best bookstore in Mpls.

I haven't been here for years, but once in a while I meet someone else who has visited and we connect over shared joy in having experienced it. The owner of this store is my hero, she's perfect, and I'm not sure where she finds her relics but don't for a second think any of it is junk. Great place to buy gifts!

A truly unique experience, and one of my favorite places on earth. There really isn't any other store like it in the twin cities. Stepping into this shop is like entering another dimension: a labyrinth of literary material and cultural relics, where one is nearly certain to find a treasure of some sort with each visit. The owner is pleasantly eccentric, although not without a healthy touch of prickliness. Make no mistake, when you enter, you're entering her world. A certain level of decorum serves one well, in my experience. 

Part museum, part bookstore, and part something else altogether, this is the perfect place to remind oneself of the strange world outside of the banalities of everyday life, which serve primarily to comfort us with the thought that the clockwork of the universe is well-oiled and will run smoothly enough to rely on. This isn't that. And how wonderful it is!

This is the place to see, a destination for everyone's bucket list. You can't say it doesn't exist until you've checked here.
