What a great bookstore.  It's so imaginative especially with the broken ice and upside down canoe on the ceiling. It's very Whimsical for children with chickens in the store and little corners for them to sit in. Great range of books including lots by local authors as well. Well situated next to restaurants and toy shops so one could really make an afternoon out of it. Charming neighborhood.

Great for all ages, has the best vibes. I love it. Good prices and selection of books, but beware there are cats and a chicken running around.

This is my go-to spot whenever I need a children's gift - they even wrap it for you! Entirely unique and inspiring space for kids and adults. I don't have littles of my own to bring here, but I love that this place exists and want to see it thrive. Of all the great small businesses in the twin cities, this place is by far one of the best.

I love the Wild Rumpus! I've been going for two decades since my kids were little.. amazing source of children's books and the best place to get kids a gift certificate ever! It's a wonderful experience to spend time in this book shop.

I had a fantastic time with my 4 year old son here. He spent the first 20 minutes looking for all of the cats and petting them. Once one of them laid down on a couch he found a cat book and pretended to read it to him.

You could spend hours looking through all of the different children's books here. They have an amazing selection of books and ones that you would be hard pressed to find other places. Plus the staff is extremely helpful and very nice.
