I don't buy a lot of books or even read that much. But I know when I need to find something they will have it here. The staff has always been friendly and helpful as well. I've never left the store without what I came to find and I've never been disgruntled when leaving. There seems to be a decent crowd that sits in the coffee shop area enjoying a good book there too. I don't buy enough books to day anything about pricing but I've never felt it was overpriced for the books I have purchased. I've seen this store evolve some from Borders to BAM and it is nice to see there is a good book store in town.

I've visited this place quite a few times, and might I just say, it's absolutely wonderful. There's aisles to aisles of great books and at the back of the store lies my favorite section of shelves, the history books. BAM has a great selection of toys as well, along with puzzles, both mind puzzles and jigsaw puzzles, as well as a few nice calendars. There's also a few collectible items such as figures and posters for quite a few different fandoms. In the middle of the store is a ton of tables full of items like mugs, figures, books of course, and tons of other things that are easily noticeable when first walking into the store. This store is one of my favorites in Rapid City!

Good place for comics, books and kids books, games, toys and general cool junk. The coffee house section could use some life added to it to be more welcoming and convincing to stay a bit longer...

Ok, here is the good. They have Molskine and LePen. They have some interesting journals with different approaches the binding. I found a rainbow bag that says love is love. They have arguably the largest selection of planners in town, nice ones too! The magazines are terrific. They have a great selection that is actually inspiring... Literally. It makes me want to be a photographer and a knitter and a writer. It's also the only place in town that has science fiction short stories. The bad... They seem to have to sell magazines in order to stay in business. I almost feel accosted every time I go in. Why is the library cooler than BAM? I feel terrible giving a bad review... It's just one thing..... But it's awful... So bad I go once a year to double check to make sure I'm not wrong. But I'm not buying a magazine subscription, ever, seriously, BAM. P.S. If you're into Bibles, this is the place. They have lots of different translation s and approaches. For example, an archaeological bible. That's cool.

This book store has a little bit of everything. I found a quantum physics book for my baby, a book of runes, and so much more! They have great sales, too.
