Best place in Gwinnett and Georgia in my opinion to get a cup of coffee. They serve Counter Culture brand coffee with great ever changing selections. The staff are always willing to inform you about the coffee if you have questions. Usually they have first hand experience with the coffee and can tell you so much about the selections. The atmosphere is relaxing and very comfortable. Good place for doing school work and reading. Also a book store is connected to it. The book selection is great and reasonably priced. Definitely a must check this out if you can!!

Boulder Creek used to be a place where good friends could hang out and drink good coffee. But recently I went in for a drink and observed that there is more and more lax customer service with each passing day... Over the past few years, I have been away at college, so naturally, I was excited to return to Boulder Creek to see my barista friends and taste my beloved 'shaker' again. But when I went in, I ended up standing in line for nearly 15 minutes. A bald guy (who I believe was the owner) was just standing behind the counter, not acknowledging me- when I asked him what the new drink options were, he said he wouldn't help me, but that maybe someone else would. After waiting for at least half an hour, someone finally came up to help me. I wanted to try something new in addition to my shaker, but it seemed as if every drink I asked for was out of stock!!! Then, once I finally made my purchase, I waited another 15 minutes to receive a shaker that was 50% half and half!!! This drink used to be my favorite, but they did not even apologize for the wait or offer me a customer satisfaction refund for their poorly made coffee. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but after going in several times throughout the week and still getting disrespected, I have decided that this is a sorry representation of Counter Culture and the community that this place used to represent. I used to feel spoiled here, or at least treated like a person, but I am not sure if I will ever be going back. Good luck, Boulder Creek.

I've been coming to this little place for years – it's my quiet space to study, meet my best friends, collect my thoughts. Great coffee and friendly baristas. However, I have been noticing several mornings lately when only one person is working. This leads to a line building up, rushed drinks, and a clearly  stressed out and occasionally irritated barista doing too many things at once, to no fault of their own. I hope this doesn't keep up :(

Love all their espresso drinks!  Also, this place comes with a bonus; it's a coffee shop inside a bookstore! Next to a great cappuccino I love a good book!
