I thought this resort could possibly be too rustic for my taste but that was not the case. It is actually very modern. It has a cozy, yet fancy and expensive feel to it. Although very fun and easily suited for children to enjoy, I didn't have family with me and I found it romantic. I guess the best way to describe the atmosphere is versatile for almost any party type. The grounds are very beautiful, I can tell a lot of time and effort is continuously put into maintaining them. And of course the service is great. The boat to Magic Kingdom did take a long time with stopping at the campgrounds, so give yourself extra time. Overall, took the spot of being my favorite Disney resort. Give it a try!

This resort was amazing. The decor was beautiful, and Disney really nailed the wilderness lodge feel/theme. The lobby was very homey and comfortable, decorated for the Holidays. The pool was very nice and there was a hot tub. There was an outdoor bar near the water. I stayed in a 2 bedroom that was very spacious and worked great for our stay!

Stayed in both studio and two bedroom villas, we love them both. Like the main lodge it is well decorated with the wilderness theme. Plenty of seating areas inside and out. Clean and quiet, hallways and rooms. Nice elevators in a grand lobby area. Washer and dryer are conveniently located. Bus service is close by. Little walk to the boat, but nice. Work out area in building. Can't wait to go back. Staff very friendly and eager to help. In main building are several restaurants that can cater to many different people, and occasions. The pools are number one, clean well kept , staffed with life guards and lots of towels available.

Ate on site and walked around to see if it was somewhere we might want to stay in the future... It definitely is! Beautiful resort and out of our whole week trip to WDW their staff was the most magical (including parks). During a very disappointing trip this was one of happier moments.

Ate at the Whispering Canyon Cafe. Fun place. Unique. Great food, too. Make sure you ask for ketchup and have thick skin. Excellent for kids. I won't spoil it, so go enjoy the experience.
