5/13/18, 9:00Am. Have you ever kissed the sweet lips of your soul mate, and felt an inexplainable feeling of bliss and warmth arise within your chest? I went here and kissed a pancake, and felt the same way. Now every time I drive by I remember that moment; in the same way that certain scents bring back warm memories of places or people from my childhood. That pancake was just like the rest of them, but somehow different. It will forever have a piece of my soul, and i will always love it, and it's fleeting memory. I should probably keep studying for finals now... 5/13/18, 1:25Pm. ADDENDUM: I have returned to the Bread and Butter Cafe for mothers day lunch. I realized that I was so enamored by the pancake during the extent of my prior visit that I was not cognizant of the fact that they DO NOT serve bread and butter. After asking the waiter for bread and butter today, he replied to us that they "only serve crackers." At first I thought it was very cheap, and dodgy to not serve bread and butter at the Bread & Butter Cafe. But it's also very bold and for that I respect them. Despite all odds, the fact that they do not serve bread and butter has caused my affinity for the establishment to grow. The B&B Cafe is the boldest diner that I know for not serving bread and butter and it is an exemplification of an indomitable force within Palatine. The scarcity of bread and butter sets it apart, and it's hilarious to think that every customer that enters the restaurant gets denied bread and butter on a daily basis.

Was our last day in town and randomly found a breakfast spot on our way to the airport. It ended up being a great choice! The dining room is quite small, the 8 of us almost took up 1/3 of the space. The wait staff was very friendly and extremely attentive; none of our drinks were ever empty. The food came out hot and correct to order. Everything was absolutely delicious, there were no complaints I our party. It was also extremely affordable with most meals being $10 or less. I would HIGHLY suggest it if you're coming through town.

It was ok. Nice little local diner with decent breakfast food. I really wanted to like it a lot since it was so close but it was just average. Nothing really outstanding. Don't think I would come back.

I went here for breakfast the other day, and it was a very enjoyable experience. It's a small place so if they are really busy it might be hard to get seating, but I didn't have any trouble when I went on Sunday a little after 9:00 am. They have a nice selection of both breakfast and lunch options, and the staff are very friendly. I had the Biscuits and gravy, and it was really good and at a reasonable price. Some of the options they have on the menu, or specials on the board, have a Hispanic flair, which I really liked, so I'll definitely be going back to try them.

This place is great! Friendly staff, delicious food, quick service. Everything you want from a breakfast place.
