We stayed here due to the proximity to DC, without having to stay in the actual city. For the price, it was worth it as it was just a relatively quick Uber ride away from the sights. The front desk staff was extremely nice and helpful. Our room was fine - pretty standard hotel room - but very clean. It was maybe slightly outdated, but the lobby was very modern and beautiful. Note that they do charge for parking albeit I think it was just $10 a night. Walkability: Not within walking distance of anything
This is hands down the best hotel to stay at while visiting the DC area. The staff is superbly professional and over the top curious. From the management all the way down to the house keepers the level of professionalism is top notch. A big shout to Justin and Cal at the front desk - their professionalism and dedication to customer service really is above the top. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. I have stayed here several times and the level of service remains at the top. I have stayed at Marriott brands throughout the United States and this hotel is at the very top. Highly recommended for both singles and families. I do not have enough time to write about all the greatness that comes with staying here at the Falls Church Marriott. Some of the reviews complain about big conferences and long lines at check in. Conferences choose this hotel because of the quality in rooms and service. As for the lines, the front desk clears them rapidly. I have seen a line of more than 20 check ins clear in less than 5 minutes. The hotel food is fabulous. You can tell the staff take great pride in their professions and their hotel and it clearly shows. Really great job again and again. I will definitely be back every time I come to DC. Rooms: Very Clean. Housekeeping is wonderful Food & drinks: Great food! High quality at a good price! Noteworthy details: ALL of the staff are super professional and very courteous at a level that is almost surreal.
The rooms are a little quirky, but clean. You get different plumbing noises depending your room. They provide minimum expectatiins and charge every little thing. I had coffee for one cup, nothing more. Have to go downstairs to the nottaStarbucks and pay $6. No pool. Nice fancy gym. I had ordered a king, but only allowed 2 double beds room. I guess the silver lining is that my wife did not wake me up when she moved around in her bed. It is off by itself. There are other buildings around but all seemed empty. I hear they have a shuttle to nearby stops. But, it was a convenient location for getting to multiple locations if you have a car. Parking up front is fine. There is a parking garage but it is on the other side of the property, which will limit your need to go to the gym. Rooms: Small and strangely layed out. We had to take turn getting through the door because it partially blocks the 45 degree entry. Walkability: Nothing nearby. Some friends walked for lunch. They had to trek Troop Beverly Hills style tree bridge and all
The location is amazing and the hotel staff are great. The room is small, but overall the location makes up for it. Had the two queen bed room and the hotel features a very nice snack/bar. Be aware of no free wifi. Centrally located so there are many restaurants and shopping centers nearby.Rooms: 4/5
I would choose another hotel next time because 1. They charge you $10/night parking fee and wifi is not free for non bonvoy members. I’d understand parking fee if it’s NYC, but for VA?? There’s plenty of hotel with free parking. 2. The walls are so thin at this hotel that you’ll have a security guy knocking at your door for taking a shower and using a hair dryer at 10:30pm. I’ll rather find a hotel where I can comfortably take a shower whenever I want.
This is actually my second time staying at this location. I really want to like this hotel but it’s hard for me to say that I do. Each time I’ve come here it’s always some sort of even going on so there’s always crowds as soon as you walk in to check in. Secondly, this time during my stay, there were 3-4 events taking place bonus two or three bud loads of kids getting off. All night I heard thumping from above. Maybe it was just the wrong weekend… who knows. Also, no matter how many time I would adjust the thermostat it always kept getting too hot in the room. It’s like the ax resets itself or something, which is pretty annoying. But on the other hand, this location isn’t too far from target, silver diner or a whole bunch of other restaurants.. I’d say a 10-20 min drive depending on what you like, but the Sweetwater Tavern isn’t that far either.
This Marriott uses deceptive trade practices. It did not disclose its pet fee and charged $150 after we checked in. We left immediately after discussing this with the most arrogant young woman I have ever encountered. We did not stay there and we never will again. Not only are they deceptive but their arrogance takes shows their pride in being deceptive.Check out their Google listing that leads with pet friendly. It is a bait and switch!
Room was not furnished with enough power outlets and there was no office desk or business accommodation. Small checkin was always backed up. Peak crowd there are 2 at the desk. Bed was cheap and worn...very springy like a motel. Very limited dining options. Property in and around is very nice. Staff were friendly for sure. May have just been our room as it was more of an odd room with a giant atio balcony which most rooms do not have. Just a bit of a weird room and layout from normal Marriott rooms.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone! The rooms and service were excellent. However, the main characteristic that I found of this hotel to separate it from other hotels is, the employees! Everyone is "So Cheerful", and Willing to help, that is Most Important to me!Rooms: 5/5
Nice-ish place. Probably the worst old fashioned I've ever had, and at 15 bucks, I was sure I'd get a free plastic refillable collectors cup. Long Island ice t was ok very weak for 15 dollars. Coffee was ok 3.70. The employees did well tho house keeping gave extra coffee for the room everyone was very helpful. Rooms were a bit ran down and outside reminded me of zombie land. For the love of God, please give a chair that matches the height of the desks! It's terrible for any kind of reading eating anything that a normal sized table is used for these. Rooms: Lamp shades were ripped room chairs were useless for seating at the table. Made so frustrated every night I had to spend 4 hours reading and it was torture Beds were OK thin walls you could here everyone going in and out Nearby activities: Ya ain't walking to anywhere from here nice lake and wooded trail Walkability: Nice walking area around the hotel Food & drinks: Food didn't look worth the price so I never ate here . Drinks were really bad Noteworthy details: The fountain would ve cool had it worked. It looked pretty cool. They should get this fixed. It wasn't working last time we came here either.
