Story

Briman’s Leading Jewelers is a 3rd generation family owned jewelry store operating in the heart of downtown Topeka. We are Topeka’s oldest and largest home-owned jewelry store serving Topeka since 1940. With a legacy over 70 years in business, Briman’s has built a wonderful reputation for honesty, integrity and value. Generation after generation our customers have trusted us to help them commemorate the most important events in their lives.
Morris Briman came to Topeka in the late 1800’s , he started a business that was to become the leading jewelry store in the city, owned and operated by three generations of Briman’s. Morris Briman left the Prussia-Poland area of Eastern Europe to avoid service in the Russian army. He tried several lines of work before he started a business at 510 Kansas Avenue that later developed into the Briman family firm. The company moved to 524 Kansas Avenue, then, in the 1940’s to 602 Kansas Avenue. In 1964, we moved to 734 South Kansas Avenue, our current location. Morris turned the business over in the 1940’s to sons Bernie and Dale. Their children, Rob Briman and Debbie Briman Latta, joined the family business in the late 1970’s and now run the family business. Rob and Debbie and their entire staff are dedicated to offering you the finest quality jewelry and customer service that is beyond compare.
Briman’s Leading Jewelers has been active in the community and is a member of the local chamber of commerce, Downtown Topeka, Jewelers of America, Diamond Council of America and the Better Business Bureau.
We are a full service fine jewelry store from diamonds and diamond jewelry all the way to watch batteries; we offer a wide range of jewelry. We carry a full inventory of loose diamonds, engagement sets, diamond jewelry, karat gold jewelry, sterling silver and watches. If there is something specific that you are looking for that we don’t have in stock, we handle special orders.
We have a full time jeweler in store and he puts the utmost care and attention into every repair job. We are pleased to offer our valued customers complimentary jewelry inspection and cleaning.
