Story

Established in 1957, there has been a Browning at this location since the 1930's. Bob Browning's Grandfather had his grocery store here, which also included a lunch counter.

In 1957, Bob's dad was approached by an Erie Representative about entering the insurance field. After much consideration, Mr. Browning decided to get into the field on a part-time basis. For many years, Mr. Browning operated both the grocery store and insurance office from this location.

In 1973, Mr. Browning closed the grocery store in order to concentrate on the insurance business full time. In 1984, Bob Browning joined his dad and shortly afterward, purchased the business when his dad retired.

In 2003, Dave Reagle joined Bob as a partner - and in 2005, ownership was passed to Dave and Kevin Murphy.

Along the way, Browning Reagle has earned numerous awards and accolades, including the most prestigious award given by the Erie Insurance Group - given to just one agency each year - the F.W. Hirt Quality Agent Award in 2012.
