I am giving 4 stars because the food really was delicious. We had the stuffed shells and spicy chicken pasta. Either rigatoni or penne. The service however was lacking. Our drinks weren't refilled very often, the server seemed to be preoccupied with something in another dining area, maybe a larger party, i don't know. Also, when our food came, she brought the bowls and no plates. We ended up eating off of the small appetizer plates she brought us with the bread. Like i said, the food itself was very very good though. I will go back and hope for a better server experience next time.

We have ate there before and felt comfortable and had great meals. This last visit fell so far behind the level of our previous visits. It was very disappointing. The area where we were sat was very tight. We felt like sardines. The staff seemed very short handed and some were actually running through the isles. Our servers more focused on the table of 12 next to us (booth of 3) visiting them an average of 8 to 10 times (yes I started counting) between seeing us. Then the dishes have really changed since our last visits. The flavor has changed so much for us that its no longer a favorite. It felt like buying and expecting a new Lexus and getting an old Kia.

I have always loved the atmosphere at Buca di Beppo...but I haven't always liked to food. This was more of the same. It's family style, so if you don't like what the majority likes, you won't get it for a reasonable price. For what it is, I feel like it could be better. It really lacks flavor and the flavor it does bring, is not authentic. The sauces are not robust. The breads and their flavorings are very packaged and weak. It's not bad, but it's not great either. I put it a step lower than Pasta House or Olive Garden. But portions are bigger and price is a bit better if you have a group that can agree and order wisely.

At first I thought it's weird that the only portion sizes are 3 person or 5 person - I do not like sharing my food! But they are not actually that big, can easily eat a "3 person" item yourself (or take leftovers). I really liked my stuffed shells and Brussels sprouts. Service was really fast despite the place (and it's a huge place) seemingly being very busy.

This trip would be the second time coming to this location and I cannot say enough about it. From making the reservation online, to coming before the reservation time, and being seated - it was perfect. Our waiter was excellent and was patient with our table as we were deciding on food [we had a group with very diverse taste buds]. I can't wait to come back, and hopefully soon.
