Terrible price markup and the food will get to you on time, but sometimes it does not. And because I live on campus, one of the drivers seems to think that means I have to walk outside of my home to the street to get the food from his running delivery car. This is ridiculous. I am already paying for you to deliver the food to my door, not for me to do your job. He called ahead and argued with me to try to get me to walk all the way outside to get my food. I refused and he said it will be an extra 15 minutes. So I waited and he called again to try to bargain with me on getting my food from his car instead of him delivering to the door by offering my soda cans. I refused again. I sent my boyfriend downstairs when the man claimed he was ready and my boyfriend STILL waited an extra 3-4 minutes for him to show up. Long story short, why can't these drivers just do what the customer asks because we are paying top dollar delivery fees and would like our food delivered. He obviously got no tip.

I order with Bulldawg multiple times per week. The very few times there has been a mistake or anything wrong with the order they have made it right for me promptly and without fuss. Sometimes it does take a little longer than they estimate, like on a game/event night or holiday night, but generally they arrive on the early side of their estimates. Drivers seem to be more courteous and care about their job/reputation than other services (UberEats comes to mind, who's driver's have yelled at me from the middle of the street way past dark). Overall probably the best delivery service in Athens. Great drivers who are actually local and vetted, lot's of restaurants to choose from, and it's good to support a local businesses who does a better job and has been at it longer than the big guys.

I have sworn off this service many times, but end up coming back, when I am sick, and or stranded. The food will not be hot, or cold, and I got sick from eating from one restaurant that I have since learned barely passes their health dept. scores. But, it's a service. Over-priced, and yes, they notify us that the prices 'differ' from orders at the restaurants, but I think their management has improved. At one point, they accused me of being in the wrong when I called, as the delivery driver was pulling away to say I had gotten someone else's food. I think the owner came out to deliver to me the next time, just to see if I looked suspicious in any way, and I have noticed that I get calls from the restaurants now, if something I have ordered isn't available. I do tip, but only on the amount of food ordered, I don't tip based on their service charges! It's a luxury service, certainly not for everyone- but I am grateful they exist, because getting any decent food delivered is hard, in Athens. Locos, Eatstreet, and Golden Sun, as well as Papa Johns all do a better, quicker, cheaper job of delivering food, and I tend to use them more often than Bulldawg. Edit, November 2017: I will never use this service again. My final order was 4-6 weeks ago. I ordered about 15$ worth of food, and the service charges doubled the cost of my order, to 30$! I called, and the young man who took my call acted helpless to correct charges that hadn't appeared on my order when I placed it. The food was cold to the touch, took well over an hour to arrive and my order was incomplete. The driver was rude, unapologetic and argumentative. I had not tipped in advance, but had planned to tip in cash, and might have, but only had a 10$ bill. I asked for change, and he yelled at me, about being too cheap, and told me that I obviously couldn't afford to use the service, if I didn't expect to give a 'decent ' tip. So, I closed my storm door, agreed with him sweetly, and left him stomping off my porch, red-faced and completely tipless. I was honestly afraid that he was going to grab my moolah, and run with it. I am very proud that I haven't given in to any impulse to order from them since, and am really over it, this time. That driver was dangerously high on something, and I have learned my lesson at last. Never again! Edit- It's almost mid-March, and I have stuck to my decision not to order from them- and am very proud of myself. I have been tempted- but not enough to spend double and tip someone even more, for the privilege.

i've never had a problem with bulldawg. yeah, they take a little longer than papa john's or whatever, but that's because they're delivering from more than just one restaurant on just your side of town. i've never had a mistake in my order or cold food or rude customer service either, even when i was dumb enough not to include my gate code and the guy called half a dozen times.

Great delivery service. Yes, you pay extra. But worth it when you're moving, have your oven die, or working extra late/hard.
