Bull and bear is awful. The service is slow. They changed the menu and the food is bad. And also overpriced. The lunch menu is $10.25 for half the food and for the full entre it's  $10.50. Such a waste of money.  We live close and would come often. Now I will never come back.

This was suggested by my Cousin an alumni from EIU. and now retired teacher.
We had dinner there before the basketball game at SIU.
I thought it was well worth the stop.
It is a sports restaurant that seems very upbeat.

Great place, great food and great beer. Try the Twisted Cuban sandwich, very good. And tasty craft beers

While the drink specials and the beer options were good, I was thoroughly disappointed with the food that I offered . The chips and salsa were less than flavorful- the chips tasted only of oil and were unsalted,  and the salsa,  which I believe the menu touted as homemade,  tasted like it had come from a bottom shelf store bought salsa jar. The saving grace of the trip for me was our server Samantha,  who was very attentive and checked on our table multiple times.

Kitchens open till 9pm Mon-Thurs,. Fri & Sat later. Prompt service. We had the meatloaf. Was good portion and tasty. 12+ craft beers on tap as well .
