Somewhere in a box of family photos there is one of my brother and me - ages 7 and 5 (1956). I'm wearing a snap-on tie clipped to a white cotton dress shirt. An oversized leather belt holds up a pair of cotton slacks carelessly draped over a pair of cowboy boots. I loved those boots. Decades later, the need for a pair of boots lives. Over the past 30 years I've tried more than once to find a pair crafted fit my personality and my feet in ways that are nearest to perfection. And today that search came to an end. Two women with fine handshakes and a growingly rare kind of natural grace assisted with the selection. I then asked if there might be a bolo tie to see. Yes! A good selection. The one I chose features a duck in flight crafted in sterling silver and the finest of leathers. After 60 years without a pair of western/cowboy boots and bolo tie, this need has finally been fulfilled. If truly in need of cowboy boots or simply curious and want to see a vast array of handcrafted options, I encourage you to visit Burns Cowboy Shop when visiting  Carmel-By-The-Sea. Honestly, I can't remember where - exactly. On Ocean Street -  the left side when walking toward the beach. Between Highway One and the Pacific.

Nice shop with good quality leather items. I picked up a bison leather bag on sale. The staff were very helpful.
