Centrally located hotel, attached restaurant/bar and coffee shop.  Clean rooms, comfortable bed, good water pressure in the shower.  Not a luxury hotel, but nice for what it is.  My only complaint would be noise: the in-room fridge and AC/heat are both not quiet, and there's also not a lot of isolation between rooms.  Luckily no loud neighbors in the morning during my stay.

In close proximity to Dollar Point and Tahoe city, Burton Creek State Park has beautiful and scenic trails with multiple forested routes. After a moderate rocky incline the trail mellows out to a forest of tall redwoods and pines. The main trail stays close to the creek which can be heard and seen throughout the hike. The creek offers a great and calming reward towards the end/start of the hike and posted throughout (which helps/helped immensely)  are detailed maps with trail numbering and signage, for easy navigation. It is a free park/trail and open to beginners, explores, and nature lovers. I highly recommend checking out this hidden gem of Lake Tahoe.  Bravo!

Nice place to hike. There's a web of trails with maps at intersections so it's easy to choose how far you want to hike. The scenic overview is worth going to.
