About

The North Tahoe Regional Park has something for everyone!

Story

The Regional Park encompasses approximately 124 acres of predominantly active recreational activities. Surrounding the Regional Park on three sides are accessible public lands offering users a more passive recreational experience.

Found within the Regional Park are a new children's playground, five night-lighted tennis courts, several athletic fields, basketball, handball and sand volleyball courts and a disc golf course.

Hiking trails wind throughout the Regional Park and include an 18 station fitness par course and a self-guided nature trail and a paved bike path for access to National Forest land or Highway 267. All of these trails meander through pine, fir and cedar forests with trailheads situated on the Regional Park's main road. Also adjacent are a number of picnic sites tucked away under the canopy of mature conifers. For larger gatherings, the covered picnic Ramada seats 100 and provides excellent views of the lake. Conveniently located next to the Ramada is the new children's playground.

The hills right next to the entrance are good for some sledding when there is snow. Parking is $5 paid to an "iron ranger" which is a box with some parking tags. Part of the team you write your license plate and keep on your day. Other part of the tag is an envelope you put in the $5 and again write in your license plate and slide that whole thing into the slot.

Would have been nice if the website said the sledding hill was closed. Good playground.

Great playground for toddlers to older kids. All shaded, wonderful structures with picnic tables. Bikes paths and big open fields. 2.7 miles to mini golf in Kings Beach

This is a great place to take kids to run them out of energy. The playground is shaded by big pine trees. Did not try the ropes course but it looks awesome. Lots of space to roam around

Fun place for the family! Recently came here to experience sled hill. Pros: parking is only $5 and it only cost $5 per person to sled. Forget to bring your own sled? No problem! You can borrow one of theirs for free! When you're on top of the hill, you get a beautiful view of the lake. Oh, and the restrooms are super clean! Cons: there's only two sled runs so on a busy day, especially on a weekend, the lines are long! Will definitely be coming back again! 😊
