La Storia Nostra
Our Papa, and owner Roberto, was born in Rome in 1955 and grew up in the shadow and glory of the Colosseum, where his family had a Cafe' in the piazza. That Cafe' was the heart of his enormous family, while serving visitors from around the world. In 1980 he met an American Girl (our Mom, Laurie) and the "rest is history". He came to Santa Cruz, where Laurie grew up,
and raised his 4 children~ Robertino, Ami,Elisa, and Roman,with many of those years spent in Rome, all the while dreaming of having his own Cafe' in America. Rob, the oldest, had an early passion for the Cafe' and cooking ~ so . . . HERE WE ARE !
Papa, Rob and Roman, here to serve you daily in our Cafe'aRoma, a perfect match of Italian and American Breakfast and Lunches, while Mom, Ami and Elisa work their magic from behind the scenes.
