If you have some our free to spend with your partner or family this is a great stop in a sunny day. You have a great view from the top, the 178 steps are easier to climb than you expect and the museum offer you a detailed experience and lesson about the local history of the area. If you stop herein a day with a local market you can find great inspiration for your presents!

It is a wonderful place to take a stroll in the evening. It's very peaceful place to see deer and other wildlife. Always a beautiful sunset to enjoy. Let's not forget the museum, it offers many ways to learn about the Indians who once settled in our area. Great place for a family outing.

This is a really neat place to visit. There are a lot of trails to walk and occasionally there are events going on to check out. The mounds are a fun trip to climb up and the view from the large mound is worth the climb. They also have a very nice museum there to check out.

It is a sacred ground with lots of meaning. An interpretive center for understanding. The biggest mound has over 100 steps to climb but has the best view of a sunset and St Louis Arch.

I personally enjoy visiting this archaeology site. Unlike other UNESCO sites, this place is only a small state park, which is a bit surprise. However, the museum is well decorated with a rich history covered the Pre-Columbus Mississippi native American culture. The half-hour movie gives a vivid introduction. I have visited the Effigy Mounds in Iowa, but this one is much larger. On the top of the mound, the Gateway Arch seems to be fairly close.
