Blake & Reena were spectacular. The food was also good & the service was very attentive. The restaurant itself was cozy & the ambience was nice also. The empanadas with the whipped avocado was to die for. I shared the skirt steak & Reena ensured it came out of the kitchen for 2. I will definitely be back!
Feels like it was transplanted from the Upper West side. Old school traditional bar/restaurant decor. Amazing variety for foodies like myself. Venison, Halibut, and bacon wrapped scallops? Sign me up!
Quite an amazing place. Went here on a random Wednesday night and could not have been more pleased. We had a selection of appetizers - artichokes, calamari, eggplant, and the star of the show - white pizza flatbread with overnight tomatos. Cocktails were also amazing with the curated wine list and cocktails such as the "Fall 75." Because of Blake and Grace's excellent service I cannot wait to come back! P. S. Excellent bar to sit at for an Italian restaurant!
If I could give 100 stars I would! First of all Blake and Grace were fantastic start to finish. They know what hospitality is about - hands down! The food was absolutely spectacular! we are genuinely going to go here weekly. Special cocktails are just to die for… 4 of us went the other night and all of us polished off our plates. Deserts were out of control good. The empanadas were INSANE! All around the place is clean, inviting, beautiful decor and a cut above the rest.
The food is fresh and very flavorful. Lots of gluten free and dairy free choices. The drinks are also very good and has a good wine list to match. I have to say that the staff and owners are very attentive and engaging, and you do not feel rushed to finish. Highly recommend this gem.
I was so impressed by the staff and their service, I was made to feel welcome and comfortable. Blake the manager was knowledgeable and directed me to the best wine paring for my dinner. Wow! what a meal, amazing culinary experience. Luna is now my go to restaurant in Mineola!!
First time dining here tonight and we really enjoyed it! It was very quiet since it's the holidays. Food and service were both fantastic. We had the calamari, shaved Brussels salad, seafood papardelle, and striped bass specials. My daughter had the penne with marina. Everything was delicious including the fresh berry Napoleon. We will be back for sure!
The atmosphere and the food were amazing. The staff was very friendly and kind. The manager came over to greet us and she was a sweatheart. We will be back soon to try the entire menu. Love this place!!!!!
Cala Luna! Make a reservation. Hand Cut Fettuccine with Veal Meatballs, Berkshire Pork Chop, Bacon Wrapped Scallops, Everything on the menu is AMAZING! Blake makes the BEST drinks and Luciano is an amazing server, LOVE the food and the people. Kid-friendliness: My 10 year old has dinner with us here. We always see families with one or two children. Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free chocolate cake. I’ve modified my meals to make them gluten free.
Seems like a hit or miss type place. Went based off of good reviews I saw online. Great environment. The decorations are very nice and it looks super clean. Party of 4, had apps, mains, and desserts. Apps were nice, a little too greasy for the tempura shrimp. The calamari sauce was really good. Desserts were okay. The waiter our party had, I thought, was quite rude. He didn't seen to have any patience when it came to questions we had. He also didn't seem very attentive. There was a lot of staff but everyone was always running around not really with a purpose. It gave off more of a disorganized vibe than that of a busy place. Someone in our party got a seafood dish that tasted very off. When they returned it uneaten, the waiter asked what was wrong. We tried to explain that the strong crab taste was very weird meaning not like normal crab, and the waiter snarkily made a comment about taking it off the bill because we didn't expect the seafood dish to taste like seafood. He walked off very quickly and none of our party really knew what to say. It was more of an awkward experience than an aggressive one, so we didnt make a big deal of it. We just won't be back. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options on the menu. Parking: Street and local lot parking available.
