Very corrupt. No cameras in the police cars while I was at court I witnessed people asking for car videos to prove they are innocent, but they don't have them so they can lie and appears they do, The police officer I had to deal with tried to accuse me of being at fault for an accident I witnessed.. not caused or involved with. He without any evidence came to my house tried to yank my mentally handicapped brother in law out of the house accusing him as well, he doesn't even have a drivers license. Officer then said he looked at my background and I quote said "You are a criminal", I only have traffic tickets on my record no felonies or anything like that, so no you officer are the criminal, and I got his accusations thrown out in court. And of course the crooked cop gets nothing for falsely accusing and harassing innocent people and scaring a mentally handicap boy and giving him nightmares. He threatens to arrest him, he threatened to arrest a mentally handicapped boy with ZERO EVIDENCE!!! Worse police force in this state. Stay out of Caldwell people they are corrupt, and will lie to you and get away with it. If you have to go to Caldwell make sure to have front and rear cams and audio. If I ever am in that area again especially because of my comment.. Video and Audio prepared 360 degrees

Its nice to know that the Caldwell police department is open 9-5 m-f excluding holidays. I'm glad that no one needs the police help after hours. Of course one can always call 911 to report non emergency situations.

Thank you officers, for all you do. All too often law enforcement is a thankless job with people only seeing the worst, but I want to say our family appreciates you and your hard work keeping our community safe. We have only had positive interactions with this department and any time we've needed assistance of any sort they have been there, friendly, helpful and reassuring.
