Camlann Medieval Village recreates the everyday experience of a rural 14th century village typical of Somerset, England. We are a Living History Museum project dedicated to the study, interpretation, and enjoyment of medieval arts and culture.
The mission of Camlann, now in its 31st season, is to offer the public powerful and engaging personal experiences of history. This includes multiple learning and performing arts opportunities, built upon thorough research of rural communities in 14th century England, to provide a deeper understanding of the relationship between historical events and western society today.
Our popular Summer Festivals one wekend per month from May through September feature crafters, minstrels and musicians, great food & drink, magic shows, puppet shows, and true medieval wares for sale. All year round we serve authentic medieval meals at our Bors Hede Restaurant, complete with musical entertainment, each Tuesday through Sunday evening from 5-8pm. We also hold grand and sumptuous Feasts in our banquet hall throughout the year. Our annual Yuletide Feasts in December are very well-attended.
We invite you to come experience firsthand this fascinating and oft misunderstood period of history.
