Arrived late in the evening and didn't reserve a spot, yet was promptly greeted by a host named Zach which allowed us to pay cash on the spot. Decided on Avalon after researching other campgrounds nearby and was thoroughly impressed by the location and peacefulness of this camp. It was my girlfriends first time camping and she was extremely satisfied with everything Avalon had to offer. The creek was easily accessible and the restrooms were accommodating for being portapotties. There was even local wildlife(javelinas) roaming in camp at night. Camping spots were spread out fairly and gave us plenty of room for comfort. I would highly recommend Avalon to anyone camping for the first time or first timers to Sedona. Thanks for a great time!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Camp Avalon for two nights. We had a fantastic spot down by the water. It was very peaceful and secluded. We got there after sundown, which makes everything a little more difficult to set up, however the camp staff was very nice and helpful.

My wife & I stayed 2 nights here. Amadon, the host was a gracious, friendly & helpful. The place is still adjusting to accommodate campers, but is a beautiful, tranquil setting. We really enjoyed the river & our dog did too. Fellow campers were mellow, friendly and clean up after themselves, which is a huge plus. Will be returning.

Had a great time camping here. There were a couple people being loud after quiet time but other than that, it was great. The location is beautiful and there is friendly often available staff.

My dad and I have stayed at Camp Avalon a number of times. My dad has extreme sensitivity to EMF (radiation from cell phones, power lines, etc), and the camp is a welcome haven from such pollution. The camp is well run and the camp staff is helpful. The staff ensures that dogs are kept on leashes and no one gets too rowdy. Running the camp this way keeps it nice!
