Story

Capitol Hill Sport&Health is over 60,000 sq ft of workout space. We have made huge renovations since taking over the facility in May 2016. New spaces include new functional training room, new Mind&Body studio, new cycle room & bikes, and cadio room. Matrix is our new line of cardio equipment.

I've been a loyal Sport & Health member for ~10 years, so I've had the pleasure of visiting several of their DMV locations. That said, this Capitol Hill location has got to be one of the best hands-down. The actual building is an old school, so it has a unique charm many gyms do not inherently possess. Since January, they've added a ton of new + updated equipment - including a great functional training area - and the most recent renovations to the locker rooms are fantastic, updating the aesthetic from dated and musty to sleek and modern. 

There's also a great sense of community that can only be attributed to the staff, who are personable, welcoming, and extremely knowledgeable - especially personal training. Rob has helped me progress through my last few training programs by providing both outstanding and invaluable insight. 

Lastly, like many of the S&H gyms, there's something for everyone regardless of fitness levels + goals (i.e., ton of group fitness, cardio machines-a-plenty, etc.). If you're a resident, work in the area (I do!), or simply seek to join a gym that transcends the stereotype of typical gyms, I'd highly recommend joining - or at least stopping by to check it out.

A fantastic place to work out. Their classes are diverse and challenging  and they have a great variety of machines and weights (many of which are brand new!). Love the community at this place, including the smiling faces of Ben and Alex!

I came here with my cousin for squash as a visitor. Love the facility, people and games. Played Sunday open house games.

Remodeling. Great workout spaces. Good group fitness classes. Good cardio equipment. Clean, bright, and not too crowded. Locker rooms are next for a needed remodel. Prices are reasonable and in line with competing facilities.

Great gym! I really like all the classes I've tried. It seems clean, the locker rooms are nice. Employees are helpful and friendly. I did a training session with Ben, which was awesome and really helpful. They have every kind of equipment ive ever thought to look for. I do think the prices are insane, but they are only slightly more than average for this area. I've obviously decided its worth it anyway, but I don't have to like it!
