I've been a member now for 6 months, having migrated from the old Capitol Hill Results, more recently acquired by Sport & Health. Balance is a much smaller, more compact gym than Results/S&H, but it has essentially the same equipment and training resources, offered at a substantially lower cost. Although Balance offers classes for the greying denizens of Capitol Hill, the gym generally seems to draw a younger crowd than does S&H, perhaps because of the fee differential. I had a batch of training sessions with Rodney Hill, who was great: very positive and he helped me refine and energize my workouts so that I get more out of them. He's also very nutrition-aware and can help in that department as well. Lastly, the gym's staff seem to have an affinity for 1960's Rock'n'Roll, which really energizes my workouts, while also encouraging me to feel young again! How can you beat that!?

Balance Gym on Capitol Hill is easily one of the best gyms I have visited. It offers an array of classes and lots of space and machines for individual training. It caters to all levels of fitness. It is clean and the staff is friendly. I found the personal training sessions with Rod Hill extremely helpful, not only for hitting the gym on a regular basis, but mainly for finding a workout that suits my goals and my fitness level. Thanks a lot!

My wife and I have been going to spin and bootcamp class with Carly, a Balance Gym Capitol Hill trainer, for more than 2 years and it's been superb. Her positive outlook combined with deep knowledge of spin and physical performance make her the ideal trainer. The group classes challenge both of us and are great for exercisers of all experience and fitness levels. We get a great workout each time and leave class feeling healthy and motivated. Balance also has a great, friendly staff who are very accommodating.

Taking your first class or walking into the gym can be intimidating but myself and my talented co-workers want you to know we all start somewhere. Great place to work out at any level. There are several classes to choose from. Lots of equipment to choose from. You can easily go to a different exercise until the equipment opens up that your waiting for. The staff is great and always helpful. I would like for them to open up earlier and stay open later.
