Been going to Capitola diner for many years... the service used to be a joke, but we kept going anyways. It seems like a lot has changed, and the service has improved greatly. We always get decent food. A little high in price, but a good place to take the family.

My parents like this place. It is more of the elderly crowd here. Food is not that good but the waitress is very friendly and makes sure your happy

Had a martini (or so I was told) and side salad, fried chicken with mashed potatoes. And I can not express just how bad ALL of this was. The mashed potatoes lacked any moisture at all, the fried chicken had some sort of odd sweet taste that I couldn't quite identify but it wasn't good and one piece was under cooked. I didn't finish, payed the bill left a tip for the waitress (who was also the bartender and for all I know the cook and the dishwasher as well) and got out of there.

Service is had as usual but my last experience dining there was disappointing. My grilled cheese was made with processed cheese and burnt on one side. Not tasty at all.
