My friend and I came back from 9 months to eat and the owner still remembered us and sat us down to wherever was open. My appetizer the Bon Bon Chicken was really good. It was served promptly with the main meal. She even remembered the dish my friend always got and refilled our water frequently. 5 out of 5 stars! The soup is just as good as I remember.

My family and I have been coming here for over 35 years. Food is always phenomenal and the service is fantastic. Potstickers are the best in Cali.

Really wanted to like it, but I’d be lying if I said I did. To be fair, I read a few reviews before going and was taking my chances when a couple Yelp reviewers yesterday just slammed the place. A few positive reviews on here got me hoping the negative write-ups were just a bad day. Someone promted my decision to buy both the potstickers and the garlic eggplant. Potstickers were fine, but I’m not overly impressed. They are big, I’ll give you that, but even the frozen potstickers, if cooked correctly, come out decently in my experience. I like a potsticker that’s crispy on the outside—these were soggy. Taste was fine, but again, nothing to write home about. Eggplant... I was really disappointed. Does anyone here know how to cook the eggplant so that it’s crispy outside? I have had the pleasure of enjoying eggplant, at a Chinese restaurant, that was prepared so well that it was crisped on the outer edges and an explosion of flavorful flesh on the inside—Chinese Village’s dish was nothing like it. The eggplant I got here is a soggy mess. Super bummed. I ordered their orange chicken on the advice of the woman at the front (nice woman). Just looks like fried chicken pieces to be dunked in the same orange sauce one would use for egg rolls. Again, nothing impressive. Pork chow mein is, sadly, right in line with the rest of the dishes, which is to say, ‘Blech!’ Everything tastes pretty much the same and I think there are maybe three chunks of broccoli in my order. I could have gone to Panda Express for this. Truly this town does a disservice when it comes to Chinese food.
