Tips: don't go at the end of the day, they are usually exhausted from sitting in their chairs and will rush you out the door. don't expect much of an opinion from these doctors; their goal is to get patients in and out as quick a possible. if you're going for something "embarrassing", i assure you that they will make you feel thoroughly embarrassed. i over heard a nurse say "let me get rid of this guy" prior to giving me me my prescription. real sweet lady...

I was first "greeted" by Mariah with a "Why are you here?" A simple hello would have been nice before the question. I was there for an on the job injury. She refused to see me despite having the paperwork I was sent with. She demanded I called my job. After I did, she finally admitted me. I was seen by Dr. Lopez. When he asked about something on my chart (Von Willebrand disease) he referenced it in air quotes saying he never heard of it. The saving grace for them was Mary, RN. She was kind, patient, and caring. She explained everything she was going to do before she did it. If it wasn't for her, the rating would have been one star.

I received adequate and efficient service. My HUGE problem with them is their billing. Because I am following the law and have insurance, I was billed 4 times the amount of somebody that is breaking the law and and doesn't have any coverage. How is this ethical? It doesn't make one lick of sense. There should be consistent pricing across the board for everybody. This comes across as a scam to me. No wonder insurance premiums are so high, it's a shame. Maybe if they quit scamming the insurance companies, insurance premiums would be more affordable and there wouldn't be as much of a problem of people not being able to afford coverage.

I went there with an infected cyst on my perineum slightly larger than a grape but painful due to the location. I went there to have it lanced and get some antibiotics. Dr Mary Fugett came into the room and looked at it for 2 seconds and said that it was a internal hemorrhoid that she could do nothing for except refer me to a gi specialist, which she did. Part of her diagnosis included a "possible " infection (of the hemorrhoid) and she prescribed me a mild antibiotic. The next day the infection had swollen to the size of an egg and was very painful even though I had been taking the antibiotics Dr Fugett prescribed so I made an appointment with the gi Dr she recommended immediately. His immediate diagnosis (after actually looking at it closely and properly examining it) was that it was NOT a hemorrhoid but exactly what I suspected it was and could have been taken care of the day I went to LCM urgent care in Oak Lawn by Dr Mary Fugett. Now I am in extreme pain and had a fever for 2 days until the new antibiotic the second Dr prescribed kicked in. I have an appointment with a surgeon on Monday to have it lanced but I may have to go to the emergency room before that because of the pain. In my opinion I would avoid going to LCM urgent care in Oak Lawn because they are inept. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I think I have grounds for malpractice.
