I've taken my kids to science centers all over the country and we enjoy finding new activities along with the exhibits you might expect. Carnegie Science Center is clean and well maintained. We enjoyed some unique activities. The fact that it includes the submarine and SportsWorks was just a bonus. The miniatures and trains are well done showing an early Pittsburgh. The robotics floor and space exhibits kept the kids entertained. H2O has typical water activities and interesting information about the PA river life. And the microscopes are high end and easy to adjust, with nice size monitors.

Awesome place for toddlers, little and big kids. Very hands on. More exhibitions being built so not fully operational but more than enough to keep my boys busy for hours. The submarine was a huge draw and didn't disappoint. All loved the miniature railway, changes from night to day every few minutes. We visited during a very hot Sunday, was supposed it wasn't busier. Food selection was great, cheap and very tasty! Something for picky toddlers and grown ups wanting a bit more sustenance. Staff were smiley and friendly to all.

We went on a rainy day that school was out of session. Needless to say the place was lively. The crowd size did not take away from our experience. The kids had a blast seeing and interacting with all the exhibits. The beer in the cafeteria made it all the better experience.

Today on our visit, were 3 adults and 7 kids. We started at 1030am in the Sports Works area and ended out the day at 7pm in the same place. We visited and enjoyed all 4 floors, did the zero gravity station, enjoyed the FIRE show in the Works Theater, toured the submarine, at great food in the Cafe, got souvenirs from the gift shop and visited the restrooms on each floor I think😂. Not to mention that multiple staff members wished Happy Birthday to the 3 celebrating birthday girls, who happened to all be 8 at the same time!! I'd like to give a VERY SPECIAL THANKS to the entire team at the new ROPE WALK ADVENTURE!...And a SUPER SPECIAL THANKS to Zach and 'Quan for helping these kids conquer fears today and create awesome birthday memories!!! You ALL were truly wonderful and we'll be back again. Thank You

We had a blast here! Wish we could have taken more time. Two hours was not nearly enough. The submarine was such a cool experience. The model train was a delight! My husband got the biggest kick out of it. So many hands on activities for the children. Sadly we didn't have time to go to sports works. Definitely recommend a visit here.
