My family comes down to Augusta from D.C. every Thanksgiving to visit my great aunt. This was our first time trying out the alehouse. We were very happy with the food and service. Special props to the back of the house, that chorizo meatloaf was absolutely amazing!

Great ambiance! Burger was ordered with Swiss cheese. Came out with American. They fixed it. Undercooked, but great taste. Will be back.

I love the food here and I’ve always loved going here but I never get good service and we simply avoid it completely now. I’d rather tip the cooks making the food then the server who forgets to put in my to go order, or messes up my burger, or the myriad of other problems I’ve had here. Food is awesome but you will wish you had just cooked or gone through drive thru. Service isn’t easy for any restaurant in an urbanized city but you have to draw the line somewhere.

Carolina Ale is a great place to watch sports several 70 plus screen and plenty of 50 plus screen all over place. They also have a couple pool tables and a large outdoor dinning area with a bar for smokers. The food is not bad here either good wings grilled or roasted. A large selection on the menu burgers, salads too much to list.

I came here a few months ago, actually, several times before as well. But recently, I’ve been coming here once every other month and my favorite dish is very basic but I truly love the this menu item from this specific location; hand battered chicken tenders. Well, the first few times I had them here were phenomenal, tender and delicious. But sadly lately when I come here are no longer that. They’re REFRIED. oily and hard. Literally hard! I’ve worked for the food industry before and I can tell what a fresh tender is than a refried one looks like, they even shrink smaller after being Re-Fried! The waiter even seemed a little uneasy where she brought the dish. When you come here, make sure you order everything fresh. This happened right before 9pm, this place is open until 2am. Not nearly time to close.
