Story

With over 100 years of hospitality and southern charm, The Partridge Inn is Augusta's iconic hotel. Known as a community landmark, The Partridge Inn began life in the 1890s as a modest two-story private residence, opening as The Partridge Inn in 1910. The hotel gained prominence as a central gathering spot for the community and remains so today. The Partridge Inn features a rooftop bar, on-site dining at the P.I. Bar & Grill and hosts several annual events throughout the year. The Partridge Inn underwent a multi-million-dollar renovation to restore the historic hotel to its original grandeur and continues its rich legacy today. The Partridge Inn is a member of the Curio Collection by Hilton brand.

The bar is on the second floor. I have not tried the food. The bar and dining area is nicer than comparable places in the area. The drinks are generally 5-10$. Atmosphere is low-key and chill. There was no music playing at the bar so we ended up going somewhere else to dance.

Beautiful old hotel with great restaurant and facilities. Staff are very friendly and I was able to get a last minute manicure appointment during during a busy weekend.  Location is within walling distance of some pretty good bars. On weekend evenings we found a very hip mixed crowd, with a surprising amount of visitors from abroad. The beautiful old lobby was transformed into this cozy, lively lounge with a roaring fire.

My fiancee and I went for the first time. We really enjoyed most of the stay until we decided to lay down. There was a party on the roof that sounded like a wrestling match. It got better after the party cleared out. Overall our experience was good.

From the outside, this looks like a well-preserved 19th century hotel. But I stepped in the door and met with great disappointment. Every trace of Victorian charm has been erased, and the atmosphere is ultra modern-right down to contemporary art on the walls in the rooms. No attempt to use retro fixtures or patterns in the decor. I will be looking for a more authentic experience elsewhere next time I book a room.

Nice hotel. Friendly staff. The rooms are a little small and if you book a corner room be prepared to climb stairs. Just don’t take a lot of luggage or you would be in trouble on the corner rooms. Other than that it is a very nice place. 
Lots of windows in the corner room. My daughters loved that part.
