For Thursday night dinner we were lazy enough to cook so we decided to visit Cava for dinner as it offers special and different mediterranean bowls. Since, we had been to a different Cava branch so we knew what bowls and foods to expect from Cava. When we entered cava, the ambiance was amazing and from menu either we can select chef curated bowls or we can order a custom bowl. We decided to order the custom bowl from Cava which included turmeric rice, chicken, avocado, olives, red onions, tomatoes and corn. The service was good and soon we got our bowl. The bowl was delicious and tasty. The size of the bowl was good enough for 2 people and we loved our dinner bowl from Cava. Amazing place to have delicious mediterranean bowls.
Usually don't write reviews but felt like this Cava location specifically deserved to be written about. I have never had an unpleasant experience here since this location opened not too long ago, ordering in person or online. Food is always being cooked fresh in front of you and I am always greeted warmly by the staff no matter the time of day. I look forward to coming back to this location again and again!
I love Cava…. Like one of my favorite restaurants. They are everywhere in Maryland and Virginia where I grew up so I was so happy when they opened one in Tampa. I had come at least 4 or 5 times, but the most recent visit, I waited more than 20 minutes for meatballs that were served to me completely raw. Now I would usually not make an issue out of it, but lamb is not the kind of meat that you can eat raw. I felt extremely nauseous after and it unfortunately may be my last time for awhile. Never had issues at the Howard location, but the N Dale Mabry location has a lot of teenagers working in the back. Just make sure you ask for your food well done! Chicken, lamb, and other meats are nothing to play with.
I’m from NY and I love the falafel from the halal carts…CAVA’s Falafel is 10/10 and it really reminds me of home. It’s even better when they are freshly made. Absolutely to die for! Add some garlic & skhug and that’s iiit! I’m also vegetarian and the menu is so diverse for my lifestyle. I love this location and how inviting the store feels. I probably eat here everyday! The employees are always aiming to please! If something goes wrong, things were always quickly fixed. Vegetarian options: There are bases, dips, main, topping, & dressing options for vegetarians. You can build a balanced & fulfilling bowl or pita. Kid-friendliness: There are high chairs, and menu options for children. Parking: Employee parking is on the side of the store and they leave the parking spots directly infront of the store for customers. It’s easy to get in and get out. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp on side of store Dietary restrictions: Gluten friendly options Dairy free options Meat free options
I understand this location is new but obviously there is a discrepancy in how the workers charge. My first ever experience at Cava was amazing.. it was all new to me so I decided on just a kid’s size pita built my own, with harissa chicken & avocado on the size and pita chips, all for $7.04. The harissa chicken with the garlic sauce was soooo yummy! I raved about it. Cut to my second visit, I decided since I loved it so much the first time, I would get the exact same thing.. just a whole pita yes, again with harissa chicken & avocado on the side … really the only 2 toppings aside from lettuce and tomato & again, with pita chips. Honestly, not a thing different… but to my surprise I was charged $18.17. I questioned this to the manager, that I could have gotten 2 kids size meals & actually 2 pita chips then for less?? This was over double my last meal… she really couldn’t explain the price and just said if ordering it the kids way was cheaper, do that next time. Also disappointed that when I mentioned it was my first & second visit… no one had ever mentioned their rewards program. So that’s 2 visits I’m out rewards :
Tried Cava first time traveling out of state, walked in randomly. Was very happy to know there was this location opening here. Awesome taste, easy ordering and good environment inside and outside. Ordered through their website and food was ready on time, and still warm by the time I got home. Dietary restrictions: A lot of options for special dieta
Came here for lunch a couple of days ago with a friend of mine who's never tried Cava. So excited there is one close to my house now! The staff was super friendly and helpful in helping me decide what to order. The food came out super quick and it was absolutely delish! I'll definitely be back... a lot!
Definitely will be back. The staff is all so helpful and makes sure to help in any way they can. And aside from the customer service, the food is so fresh and tasteful. Especially the new Japanese white sweet potatoes- I cannot get enough! Vegetarian options: Falafel, roasted vegetables, Japanese white sweet potatoes Parking: Easy parking right in front of the building
I’m not one to complain much but this had to be one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had at a chain restaurant. Incredibly slow service, out of a ton of ingredients and unsanitary workers who don’t handle the pita chips or any food for that matter with gloves. All of this combined with an over 25 minute wait with only 7 people in front of us in line just was extremely irritating. I love CAVA but I will never be going back to this location ever again and I suggest you guys don’t either.
I love that I don't have to go to the SoHo location because this CAVA is so close to home. Plus, the Team Members and Management really know how to make you feel at home anyway. So, I don't mind skipping cooking at home and grabbing lunch or dinner from the Carrollwood CAVA a few times a week. There are so many menu options, so you can never get bored. Personally, I love spicy food. If you are like me, the Spicy Chicken Pita is THE WAY to go! I don't get it with the Balsamic Date Vinaigrette it comes with though. I prefer it with the Harissa Vinaigrette & Garlic dressing. I would also HIGHLY recommend mixing the house made juices. I love mixing the sweet tea w/ cucumber mint lime. I'm from NY and it reminds me of the canned Half & Half iced teas, just healthier. DONOT FORGET, pita chips and dip! Crazy feta is to DIE FOR! I love dining in. But takeout or delivery is always a wave too. Vegetarian options: My girlfriend is pescatarian/vegetarian this spot is one of our Favorites to go for lunch dates!
