I had to go into cmmc this morning for an endoscopy and colonoscooy. The staff on that floor was great! All very personable and all had great attitudes!! Nobody likes having procedures done but it makes it so much easier when the staff has such a warm welcome. One in particular was the ultrasound tech named Jeff.... He had such a fun demeanor while being completely professional!!! I've never had such a great experience at a hospital than I did with him as my tech. He had to come to find a vein as I am a bit difficult and he explained everything he was doing while making it fun and took of my nervousness away! He's such a great asset to your company and I hope he knows how much he is appreciated!!!!! Thank you Jeff the ultrasound tech!!!
I gave birth on 12/20 and my experience was so amazing. The nurses were so sweet and caring. This was my first baby so I was terrified but the help they provided helped put my mind at ease.
The administration and acute care management of this hospital is horrible. They are mostly dishonest, incompetent and corrupt/shady people who do not care about their employees at all and only marginally about their patients. There are some good nurses and a couple good doctors there, but a lot of overworked, burnt out nurses and a few incompetent doctors that I’d be very concerned about as a patient there. For prospective patients I’d strongly recommend going elsewhere and for employees, especially travel nurses, I’d urge DO NOT GO THERE! They use travel nurses as scapegoats for incompetent decisions made by doctors and they will jeopardize your license and careers intentionally with dishonesty and malice. There’s a culture of bias against travel nurses although they heavily rely on them thanks to administration running off much of their regular full-time staff. There’s a culture of bias and prejudice against male nurses too. This hospital has a track record for treating employees like garbage. This place is just generally ran horribly and the acute care management especially are shady as hell. Travel nurses everywhere, please be warned, do not go there if you care about your license and your career.
Wish I could give no stars. The treatment my father received before he died in their care was heartbreaking. We couldn’t see him until they were performing CPR to try to keep him alive. My poor mother. Married for 46 years, couldn’t be there in his room in his last few days. I’m disgusted. I’m pulling all of my care away from any doctor affiliated with this hospital.
I have been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and had sepsis when I was diagnosed cmmc oncology is amazing but the emergency room has been the worst experience I’ve ever had at any hospital they’ve made me wait hours only to remove my name from the list twice now I’ve sat there all day to be removed from the list last night I was there, after sitting there literally all day I went to get a drink from the cafeteria, because there are no vending machines in the waiting area, and there are no drinks provided, while I was gone they remove my name from the list for the second time. I will never go back to that emergency room even though my doctors from oncology are at that hospital. It’s very sad that I sit there all day to be seen after telling them that I have stage four cancer and feel very sick and that something is very wrong with me and they remove my name the second that I leave the waiting room to get a drink, not to mention the security guards that were following me around all day.
Went in for surgery about a year ago. They had lost my paperwork twice before they actually got me in, and they messed up my insuranceinformation. And now that I've gone back to the emergency room for a bad disc in my back. I never want to go again. Receptionist was rude and refused to help me when I couldn't move, she wouldn't get anyone that could help me I couldn't even sit, nevermind reach to put on my hospital bracelet everyone in the Waiting room asked if I was OK and she yelled back "SHES FINE!" With a lot of unexpected attitude. I was in tears from pain. I was not ok. And then they kept me at the hospital without any communication about why I was still there. They just kept popping me pills and never even checked on me to see if I was getting better. When I asked why I was there they said they were maintaining my pain and there was no need for me to be there. And then took another 2 hours to discharge me. I was there in the middle of the day.
I’m so sad that I’m writing this review. I worked at CMMC for over 10 years! I recently needed medical attention and went to CMMC in the ER. The only positive from my 24 hours was my ER physician. The nurses left my bed rails up, pumped up high in the air for their convenience…No call bell. Upon getting to the ER my blood pressure was 80/40, heart rate 170”s.. I needed a blood transfusion, but I wasn’t treated correctly, I was buffed up by fluids! Zero improvement, I actually felt worse and left AMA. I was once proud of this institution, now I’m just heartbroken. I went to St Mary’s and with 10 hours I had a transfusion, EGD and a plan! And the treated me respectfully and showed empathy. To follow up on my care at CMMC, I asked for a list of who accessed my chart…. I was denied! They also charged me for a line draw when the nurse didn’t do a waste tube as well as the draw to correct it! Absolutely despicable hospital
This thank you is long overdue for the comfort and kindness that I was shown at Arbor House. The residence was my respite after the side-effects of radiation and chemotherapy. I was given a sunlit room, books, a beautiful library and a well appointed kitchen during my six weeks of treatment for cancer. Without Arbor House, I could not have maintained a positive attitude of hope that was free from depression. Pauline cares for the house and adds to the sunshine that lights the kitchen. She is positive energy, humor and hope in one package. Her caring on my most difficult days was a bright spark of energy. I also wish to thank Nicki who made arrangements for me to reside at Arbor House during my six weeks of weekday treatment. She contributes so much to this incredible program. My gratitude goes out to each person who supports Arbor House. Lewiston and Auburn are not rich cities, but the generous and giving people of the area are some of the most altruistic individuals that I have ever met. They gave me a place to ease my pain and asked me for little in return. I was comforted by their outpouring of love and support which sustains me even now three month after my departure. I have visited many hospitals in my past, professional career as a nurse-specialist. CMHC is by far one of the best for compassionate care, expertise, and an ample dose of love. Thank you all for creating such a glorious atmosphere of healing. Jayne A. Halle
For goodness sake if u get any kind of cancer DONT go here. Less than a week to surgery for cancer and the Dr pulls the rug from underneath me. So I guess it will have to be this way. Don't go here.
My grandmother was recently in the hospital for a fall that fractured a couple of ribs. The nurses and doctors were awful to her except for a couple. She has dementia and they would make her wait 22 mins to go to the bathroom, making her want to get up on her own. She fell again this morning due to lack of care and no family member was contacted to let them know. They would take there sweet time doing anything. Would highly recommend not using this hospital because they are terrible
