It was nice at 11:30 am on a Thursday. Barely anyone there, but it got busier at 12 pm. Their food was good. Highly recommend the Fried Bean Curd and Pork over Rice. Nice and saucy. My friend got the Fish and Chicken fried rice.Food: 5/5
Cha Kee is a HK Style Cha Chaan Teng located in the heart of NYC's Chinatown. They didn't have any physical menus when I went, however I assume you could ask for them if you don't have a mobile device. The service is quick and efficient, much easier to order things if you know Cantonese, but English works fine as well. The atmosphere is like a HK style cafe, with some big tables and smaller tables spread throughout. It would be best to come here with a party of around 3-5. The food was great. I came during brunch, so it was focused on HK style breakfast foods. The Porkchop over fries was crispy and not too oily. The Rice Cakes in XO Sauce had both a sweetness to it that was complimented well with the peanut sauce. The only thing that was kind of eh was the Salt & Pepper Vegetables. It was a little too salty for the taste, and it ended up overwhelming the dish. Overall a good place to visit if one of the other Cha Chaan Tengs are too crowded.
Great Singaporean rice noodles. Good beef with tomato. I always get the iced milk tea here. It’s never too busy which is why it’s my go to.
It's like two completely different restaurants operate here, one during daytime and one for dinner. The food and the vibe are completely different. Both are great in their own way. The dinner menu offers unique twists on Chinese food and everything was delicious. The food and the ambience are fancy, and not cheap.Food: 5/5
Expensive but good, for 1 person I had a cocktail, a rice plate and the pastrami Kung Poa, $106.00….. Food was great, I’m just still really shocked at the price.
I visited Cha Kee for breakfast and ordered the sautéed beef with instant noodle. The dish was delicious, with tender beef and well-seasoned noodles. The portion size was generous and satisfying. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, and the service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommend Cha Kee for a great meal!Food: 4/5
This is the same as Cha Chan Tang if anyone was wondering on Uber Eats. Super excited to know that they have baked chicken over rice. It was good. Just annoying to find plastic in food that wasn't part of the aluminum foil.Food: 4/5
I have been here a year ago and for the most part the appetizers were good. When I tried to order I was told the special section was as not available since the chef was on vacation. We had truffle fries with zero truffle flavor and inflated looking and partially uncooked chincken wings. If I could give them a zero I wouldFood: 1/5
I really like their HK style milk tea. Very authentic! I got it to go. The price is good too! It is already slightly sweetened. Parking: It’s better to come here by metro subway or bus. It is difficult to find parking and the streets are very narrow. Kid-friendliness: Tables are spacious and kid friendly
The staff here are very friendly, helpful, and attentive. They were out of a couple things, the manager came up and let us know and suggested a similar item. Everything was so fresh and delicious. For sure the best I’ve had! Would give them more stars if I could! Vegetarian options: When I let them know I wanted menu changes they were happy to oblige. Just ask, I’m sure they can do it!
