Ambiance: - Clean looking, fast-food type place - Fairly quick food, low fuss for reasonable price Service: - Pretty good - Quite a few americans on staff so you won't have any issues communicating Food: - Noodle soup - You choose your noodle 6 kinds, soup chicken or fish; but no beef choice?, then each ingredient you choose is about 1.5 for most items you get about 2 pieces per choice - I chose the combo and they let me sub out a couple things, so ended up with pulled noodles seemed factory pulled, not hand, with chicken broth, spam, egg, curry fishballs, curry chicken wings tasty, but not much in curry flavor, tofu poofs. This ends up at about $8 - Overall not bad, but not what I am generally looking for when I go to Chinatown for noodle soup
Good place to eat spicy or non spicy food with a lounge like feel! The place is also a bar and has a flat screen TV-at least one of there locations has this in Chinatown. You can choose how to make your own bowl dish-sweet! I had used a groupon here that is still around and it was worth it. Check it out!
I’m surprised I’ve never eaten here before. I appreciate fast cheap food so I can afford to eat at overpriced places. From the exterior, it looks clean and there's always people dining here. I was a bit overwhelmed with the ordering process, so I chose the beef noodle soup combo, the finney soup, and a mango green tea. I was not impressed with 2 bowls of soup. The beef soup was made of cow organ parts. There were pieces of the pancreas, tendon, and meat ball of parts unknown which I grew up eating. I'm pretty sure Westerners would not like this soup unless you’re Andrew Zimmerman. The noodles udonish were cooked perfectly but the broth was not that flavorful. The finney soup reminds me of a "not sour" hot and sour soup. As weird as it sounds, it was an oily soup. I had a couple spoonfuls and didn't eat the rest of it. The mango green tea was not good at all. It tasted very sweet and artificial. Everything was under $16 so I didn’t break the bank. Not sure if they have a bathroom or not. I think this place makes boba tea but I'd have to come back to try. The next I dine here I will customize it my noodle bowl.
If you like combinations, then probably HK Station would be the place to go. You can create numerous combinations with noodles and other ingredients that they offer. Here’s how it works, you pick any type of noodles that they have and that will be your base. Then you pick a type of meat pork, chicken, beef, spam, etc….remember the combination is endless and a choice of veggie. To finish it, you pick a type of broth that you like and that is your noodle soup. Simple as that! Although, I would have to say the good old days were better, where each item was $1, but because of this scary economy, prices have been jacked up. The place is uberly clean and service is super fast. However, because it is like a value menu-kindda-thing, you really don’t get that much for what you pay; in that case, I would say go to a regular Chinese restaurant for a noodle soup. But for convenience, and if your supper hungry, this would be that go-to-place. So how many combinations are there again?
My rating reflects the gimmicks that these guys pull on you for $1-$2 per small scoop. I've been here 3x and each time I was never full even ordering $15 worth of stuff. And guess what my friends who are both Anemic and Bulemic would agree. I would imagine a fast food joint giving you a satisfying meal by $8 max but I ended up being full on water alone with their incredible amount of MSG and other salt like condiments. Honestly I'd like to suggest a fixed full sized bowl for $8 with say at least 5 choices, I'll even take 2 choices as long as the bowl is full. What a way to rip people off. I might as well open up a Kowloon Station and do just what I suggested. The reason it wasn't a one star is because they at least hire half decent looking people don't necessarily rush you when ordering.
Beef shins? Fish balls? Pork intestine? Pig's blood? Fried gluten? Oh man, sign me up. I have an unhealthy obsession with the soup base that they put your noodles and toppings into, always requesting some of the garlic/green onion garnish. Soo tasty. What you decide to order for your toppings really determines the flavor of your soup. I've found out from experience that adding in any of the beef-related toppings really adds a strong, beefy flavor to your soup. There is also chili and other garnishes at the end that can be added to your meal. Whenever I go, I tend to get udon noodles with their daily choice of fresh vegetables qing cai, turnip, and tofu. Beef tongue is pretty good, though I must confess I have not summoned the courage to try pig's blood or fried gluten yet.
I came here just to have lunch. One thing I could say. No good service AT ALL. when I asked the staff a few question just for understanding. They completely ignore and disrespected me. After I finish my lunch even when I say have a good day. The staff at Hong Kong Station gave me a nasty look. Would I come back ? Absolutely NOT Would I recommend this place to a family or friend ? Not at all The only time I would come back if the customer service improves. We pay for their food so we should get respect. Thank you.
It is not the best place that you can go in Chinatown. The food was normal and definitely overpriced. I would come here if I am not hungry or just wanting to eat something for night snacks. But this place can't fulfill one's stomach without spending extra fortune.
Love the ramen and squid. The bobba tea is delish. Ive love this place for 3 years
I love how you can add on whatever you want to your bowl of noodle
