The Friends of the Chamblee Library was formed to support and advocate for our library in Chamblee, Georgia, and the DeKalb County Library System.
WHAT WE DO:
Friends raise money through dues and book sales to fund many important services at their local library branches such as: Books and other materials for collection development
Support for vacation reading program
Teen book club
Sponsor children’s performers and programs
Cultural programs
Library equipment and facility improvements

The Friends of the Chamblee Library is a non-profit group that is committed to family literacy, young adult programs, and community involvement via action and financial support to literacy programming at the Chamblee Library in Chamblee, Ga

The purpose of this organization shall be to serve as a 501(c)(3) organization that assists the Chamblee Branch of the DeKalb County (Georgia) Public Library System to develop programs to meet current community needs; to assist in promoting knowledge of and participation in library programs; to aid in providing funds to meet special library needs; and to provide a channel for individuals and organizations to express ideas and make suggestions for library use and services.
We have an ongoing book sale. We accept donations of books, videos and CDs during regular Chamblee Library hours.
