Knowledgeable staff, great prices, unique selection. If I can buy it here, I buy it here. They have all kinds of things I never knew existed, and they are great at helping you determine which of their many wares is best for your needs. They also offer a student discount. I tell everyone I can about this place.

I absolutely love this place. We took a class here on how to make sushi and it was so much fun. Since then we have made sushi multiple times and this market has all the ingredients to make great sushi. The owner is pretty cool guy as well.

The staff were so kind and did everything they could to make sure I was serviced. They also tried to save me money, not just sell to me. I will give them patronage for a long time.

I haven't been to Chao's in a long time. They used to be on University Ave in Provo. Since they moved a few years ago, I've only been there once. I remember it took a long time to find their store bc they didn't have a prominent sign facing State Street. I visited again just 2 days ago. There's now a nice sign that you can see from State Street. It's down on the ground though. The store is very clean. It's large but it doesn't stock as much items as the Asian Market in Provo. There are recipes that you can take that teach you how to make Japanese food. So, despite the name, Chao's is now more a Japanese grocery store than a Chinese grocery store.

I went here a few months back and the owner was one of the nicest people I've ever met in my life without a doubt. They saw that they were out of something I needed, so he went to the back and offered me something from his personal stuff for free. He was such a big help and they have a huge variety of different kinds of oriental foods. I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys cooking Asian foods. And if I remember correctly, he also teaches sushi classes. Loved this place and the owner. Best customer service I've had
