I don't often leave reviews, but I feel this place needs it! I passed by this restaurant and decided to try it out. We ordered the family meal for 2-3. It may have been because they were closing, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. We got there around 7:30 pm. Their signage says 9:30 pm, but it's really closer 8 pm that they close. My honest review: This is by far the worst American Chinese food I've had. I'm a little confused by the positive reviews, so I'm thinking it was because they were closing that I got such horrible food. When I read gourmet, I was thinking it was going to be quality ingredients with great flavors. This was worse than Panda Express. Again, this was my experience, seems like other review's had a positive experience. You decide.

Waited 50 minutes for a to go order. The food was completely flavorless. The honey walnut prawns had no sauce on them. The egg rolls were almost inedible. Honestly, some of the worse Chinese food I’ve ever had.

The venue itself is not bad, fairly clean, and modern. If you plan to dine-in, there are actually not that many actual tables, but there is also a bar-style seating as well. Not too comfortable, but tolerable. We did a call-in take-home order and the initial reception was mediocre, but a kind enough young person. We did a three-entree order: Honey Walnut Prawns, Lemon Chicken, and General Tsao Chicken. If you plan to do this, expect a lengthy wait for you food. (We waited 40-minutes) Don't expect a different experience with doing a third-party order (ie: Doordash, Uber Eats, etc.) as I was waiting along side three of them with similar results. (They were still there after I finally got my food.) Presentaion and packaging was clean. Overall the taste was less than favorable. The tastiest of three was the lemon chicken and that's not saying much. Both the General Tsao and Honey Walnut Prawns were both lacking and missing the glaze on the prawns, which turned out to be seasoned deep-fried prawns. Flavor was definitely lacking. I dunno if the lack of quality was due to how swamped the chef was, but the experience  just left us unsatisfied.

Had a family meal last night and it was all good except for the fish dish. Neither my wife nor I could eat it. We took it home and reheated it but it was so bad we had to pitch it out. Not sure I'll try the restaurant again but for sure I won't order the fish again
